My 13 year old sister was well pleased when Leon won - I think that speaks for itself on the majority.

Craig really sumed it up earlier - 100,000 people and this is the cream of the crop? Pffft, thank God there's some actual proper real British talent out their that might not get the same exposure but they're indefinitely better.

Sorry but unless Leon's given some good original material then his future is mapped out; good selling first single, decent selling album which is released on Mother's Day which sells quite well and then he's never heard of again. I've seen it too many times before and unless they're gonna put money into him and make him someone a la Leona, then he's got no long term future in the music business.

I hear the Jacksons are reforming next year without Michael, maybe they should add Leon to the lineup :D
SOULJA BOY!!!!

At least he has a dance to his song!

Yeah...but the song and dance are both awful.

So what?

When Rydian gets a record deal and releases his version of 'Somewhere', then we'll see who's laughing. ;)

one thing i've always wondered about this contest is how the winner always has a cover version of a ballad to release as his first single, when in other countries like Germany, France, etc, they actually do original songs, that actually are mature and modern sounding pop songs

Because the show is not about talent it is about making Cowell money

A dead cod could win X Factor if it made Cowell enough money, oh wait, one did tonight

Exactly, everywhere but the UK does it, especially all the European countries.

I actually prefer Soulja Boy for Leon for X-mas no 1. Or bring Mr Blobby back or whoever. At least, if no wonders happen, Steve won't be remembered as the biggest X-factor failure is year's time...or so I hope.
Oh and not forgetting to get rid of Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell.

Why get rid of the three judges who madee the show a bit entertaining to watch? Louis is an arse hole, but it was obvious he was needed when Brian was in at the start. Sharon would'nt be too missed as she does'nt do much these days, but Simon IS the X Facotor like him or not. It's his show, and he generally always says what the public are thinking and is objective (apart from his obsession with Hope obviously). Dannii was good, but really nothing special as a judge, she tended to repeat comments alot. Although, tbh, I think Louis, Sharon and Dannii shoudl all go, and they should draft in new judges, apart from Simon, because there is no way he is going anywhere. Boy George, Pete Burns would be hilarous  The whole show was dire this year, so it needs a big shake up next year - new judges, no sob-stories etc. But it won't happen. -_-

Yes their new album 'Strictly Physical' is amazing

Their first album was a bit bland in parts but their new album is amazing.

Swedish Idol winner Darin from a few years ago is also a great pop singer.

Even the 'dull' Australian Idol winner from this year Natalie Gauci is nowhere near as dire as Leon and had an upbeat original pop song.

My favourite is still No Angels - Daylight In Your Eyes, excellent winning song

Room 2012 (new winners) - Haunted is great if you like R&B-pop

Ooh yes i have Room 2012's debut album now but i havent had a chance to listen to it yet.

I havent heard that No Angels song before, though i have their new album which is ok, a little bland though.

Swedish Idol's winner 'Marie Picasso' this year is pretty good even though she aint the best singer (1000x times better than Leona)

The song is original to i think.

This is X-Factor chat, not other idol chats. You can post information on other Reality programmes in the actual Reality forum ;)

Watch the video here link

Was the winning song of 2001, sounds like the music scene back then, but I've got fond memories of it

Leon will be forgotten about very fast

Within a year he will be singing infront of tone deaf pensioners on the QE2 or the Oriana after his 2nd single struggles to make the Top 10 and his album drops faster than a stone after 3 weeks in the charts

Rhydian will be an established opera singer and will be singing the national anthem at major sporting events

Same Difference will have 1 top 5 single and end up performing in west end musicals

Only Rhydian will make it

Oooh i do quite like it, much better than the UK winners songs ever are.

Germany & Swedens popstars are generally much better though tbh.

Dermot just said "Rydian will be the next Russel Watson"

Oh isnt that amazing....

lol

No offence but are you trying to be a c**k on purpose or does it come naturally to you ?

I suggest you read up on Russell Watson's career and his global album sales where he has been multi platinum in f*** knows how many places

If Rhydian has half as successful career as Russell Watson he will have had one hell of a f***ing career

Grow up :manson:
