Melanie C - This Time http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/MelanieC-ThisTime.jpg One of the most underrated artists of this decade is definately Melanie C. Each of her albums has something great to offer. She tried so many styles of music in on her first album, mellowed down for "Reason" and rocked it up for "Beautiful Intentions". "This Time" is probably my favorite album by her. It is just perfect mature pop. It really should be a crime that songs like Carolyna and This Time were not smash top ten hits. I may not always like Melanie C's personality or attitude, but as far as her music goes I know that she'll always bring it. Monrose - Strictly Physical http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/Monrose-StrictlyPhysical-Cover.jpg What it is about girl groups that fascinates me I'll never know. This year I added several European girl groups to my itunes. My favorite of them is definately Monrose, the winners of popstars Germany. Their album is just fantastic, a perfect combination of pop and r n b ( i think LOL). The album is mostly made up of fun dance music. But there are also a few ballads including 'What You Don't Know', possibly the best track in there. If anyone wants a fun new group to listen to I'd definitly reccomend Monrose! December 18, 200717 yr Author 7. Kylie Minogue - X http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/Kyliex.jpg I've never really listened to Kylie. Although this year i rediscovered her "Fever" album. When I first listened to 2 Hearts I was so disappointed. However, it slowly but surely grew on me. When I listened to the album I felt like i was in pop heaven. So catchy!! :w00t: While most of the album is great there is certainly one standout track: the infectious 'Speakerphone'. It makes this album!! Kylie has come back stronger than ever and I cannot wait till she returns to America. December 18, 200717 yr Author 6. Blake Lewis - Audio Day Dream http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/Blake_Lewis_Audio_Day_Dream.jpg i was so shocked when Jordin Sparks beat out Blake Lewis on American Idol last season. This last season was probably the worst on Idol. But i always liked Blake. His new material is definately better than Jordins. His new single was instantly catchy and he album lives up to those standards. It's a very electronic album and it is very 80s inspired. There's alot of different styles of music on the album and Blake works well through all of them. Fave songs: How Many Words What'cha Got 2 Lose Break Anotha Know My Name Here's My Hello K0TMnKxthAg
December 18, 200717 yr Author 5. Sugababes - Change http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/ChangeSugababesAlbum.jpg I love the Sugababes. :cheer: They have released some of the best pop music of this decade. I was expecting amazing with Change and that's what I got. Amelles is so amazing. On "change" she makes you forget all about Mutya. Amelle really shines in this album and that's why I love it so much. This album would have definatelt been top 2 on my chart if it wasn't for two major flaws. 1: WAY too much keisha and not enough heidi. Keisha you are not beyonce so STOP! :nono: 2: Back Down. WTF. That is possibly the worst sugababes song EVER. It makes me sick. It brought down the album for me :( With that said "Change" is still an amazing and album and the girls show that they're here to stay (at least until the next lineup change :)) Fave Songs: Never Gonna Dance Again Change My Love Is Pink Undignified pBT-V-hj4Y0 Edited December 18, 200717 yr by shakilover

Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i186/simr2277/Covers/carrieunderwoodcarnivalridepromo3-1.jpg No one makes me like country quite like Carrie Underwood. I loved her first album and eagerly awaited her followup. Carnival Ride is ever better than her debut. The first single wasn't as awesome as I expected, but the album certainly makes up for it. On this album Carrie has alot more fun with it. She also does amazing with the beautiful ballads. With Carnival Ride Carrie proves why she won American idol and she cements her place in music. I really enjoyed every single song when i was first listening to it. Adam's voice is so great with each song. I believe they are the only male act to top my singles chart this year. that certainly says a lot lol. Great lyrics plus great music equals a great album. That's definitley what Maroon 5 have done!
