Snob. :P

It's pure brilliance - and I say that because I'm a Bjork loon.

I love Bjork, too... a lot (a friend of mine worked for her... she's equally as mental offstage as on  ).... but Volta really failed to deliver for me.... and I hated Vespertine and especially the bloated, ridiculous self-indulgence of Medulla, too..... Volta was a step in the right direction, but it's becoming increasingly clear that Bjork needs some serious quality control in her career.

And a decent songwriter..... a lot of her recent stuff sounds like she's making it up as she goes along.

For an artist of her importance and capacity, it's just not good enough.

One of my favourite songs from Volta, I know the critics absolutely hated it but I think its very powerful, a bit harsh and genuinely unsettling but thats the effect she was trying to create I think. I'm not sure I agree with your views on Vespertine and Medulla, probably her 2 most gorgeous albums; challenging maybe, but rewarding with persistence and patience. I hated Medulla 2 the first few times I heard it it took me years to give it a chance and finally appreciate it.

I love this now, and I got this by accident when I was meant to download a diffrent Bjork song.

Fantastic

I wouldnt say its unlistenable, not in a long way, but i guess you wouldnt want to listen to it as its so boring and the video concept doesnt really progress its like a one joke film. poor

 btw i have been mostly listening to this album this week, featuring sugarcubes - birthday and laurie anderson - o superman, a must better way to spend your time (and in comparison o superman is about 900 minutes longer than Declare Independence and a lot less boring  and just as avant guard!!!)

What the heck does that album have to do with anything? And I happen to love the video for Declare Independence.

so i'm guessing your more familier with Sugababes and Soulja Boy then

I've never heard of that album, no, but I've heard of most of the artists on there. =/ Don't assume. I just feel that you made absolutely no point in bringing it up besides to promote some compilation you've been ejoying. Perhaps if you compared a previous Bjork/Sugarcube/Tappi Tíkarrass album I could understand the comparison, yet you're comparing a Bjork song to some compilation with one Sugarcube song on it. There was no reason to bring it up. This is a Bjork thread and has nothing to do with that album, so why even mention it.

I think bringing up a classic compilation featuring a Bjork/Sugarcubes song has everything to do with a Bjork thread

"some compilation" indeed...... :arrr:

and if you know the very avant guard nature of the laurie anderson composition O superman (think the word somg does not do it justice) then you will totally get the comparison and where im coming from.
