December 24, 200717 yr Author Ok so far I've counted down 100-21, but there's still the top 20 to go. Comments are always appreciated, as are predictions for the top 20. ^_^ The final 20 songs will be counted down between the 27th and 30th December (basically whenever I get the time  ) I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone on BuzzJack a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year *cue overly dramatic crying scene* :P
December 29, 200717 yr Author And so into the top 20 we go! :D 20: Never Again - Kelly Clarkson http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSKEL.JPG Chart Run: (35, 30, 17, 11, 8, 6, 3, 2, 3, 4, 4, 6, 7, 10, 10, 18, 25, 31, 35) {19 wks} Live at Teen Choice Awards: km86ozAyLaw So despite many people hating the My December album, Never Again has managed to make my top 20 (just). I'm really annoyed that this era seems to be flopping and think that the record company needs to give her a bit more time for promoting...or else they should just scrap this album and make a new more radio-friendly album instead.
December 29, 200717 yr Author 19: Give It To Me - Timbaland feat. Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1732199.JPG Chart Run: (38, 30, 16, 15, 14, 8, 5, 6, 5, 13, 12, 12, 13, 13, 17, 17, 15, 18, 21, 25, 34, 37) {22 wks} Live (Timbaland and Nelly Furtado): PLv8ZkK9v1M Though it only reached number 5 on my chart this song managed to stay around for an incredible 22 weeks :o It's a good song though and reminds me of my work placement  Cheap video though.
December 29, 200717 yr Author 18: Gimme More - Britney Spears http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697186762.JPG Chart Run: (22, 12, 7, 5, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 14) {15 wks} [still on chart] Live at the VMA Awards 2007 :( : 6PCa2cRj9V4 Ahh Bit Bit, what a year you've had. First you go psycho, shave your head and attack a paparazzi with an umbrella, then you lose custody of your kids :( Still on the bright side, your song got to number 1 on my chart and stayed there for 4 weeks :D See it's not all bad news.
December 29, 200717 yr Author 17: (I Wanna Have Your) Babies - Natasha Bedingfield http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELBEDIES.JPG Chart Run: (38, 33, 22, 13, 7, 4, 4, 3, 7, 10, 9, 9, 9, 11, 14, 16, 19, 20, 21, 25, 33, 40) {22 wks} Live from Abbey Road: Cp1p-sdz_RY Yes yes I know, it's rubbish, but the fact is that if you look at the album as a whole, minus Soulmate of course, this is actually one of the better songs...even if it is a bit creepy. Seriously though I think people got quite freaked out by this song, I'm pretty sure the babies thing is just a metaphor for her telling a guy she wants to spend the rest of her life with him...if not then yeah, she's just weird.
December 29, 200717 yr Author 16: Back To Black - Amy Winehouse http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1732325.JPG Chart Run: (31, 23, 17, 10, 7, 4, 2, 2, 4, 4, 5, 10, 11, 15, 17, 20, 17, 23, 27, 35) {20 wks} Live at the EMAs 2007  : dewtCShee04 I have such mixed opinions on Amy. Her album is amazing, her singles are great but as a person I can't stand her. Just look at that performance!! What a liberty! Actually my housemates and I love that performance and we all take it in turns to recreate it when we're drunk
December 29, 200717 yr Author 15: When You're Gone - Avril Lavigne http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697119262.JPG Chart Run: (39, 38, 37, 34, 28, 17, 8, 4, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 21, 26, 29, 36) {22 wks} Live on X Factor: ttOgLhXlNHw Oh God I love this song, really sad it didn't get higher in the 2007 chart. :( I just think this song is so amazing, the video is fantastic and made me regain my trust in Avril as an artist - seriously I loved Girlfriend but if she'd done a whole album of songs like that I may have cried.
December 29, 200717 yr Author 14: Catch You - Sophie Ellis-Bextor http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSBEX.JPG Chart Run: (39, 26, 19, 4, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 4, 8, 8, 13, 22, 21, 27, 29, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 35, 37, 40, 39) {26 wks} Live at New Year's Eve 2006 - poor cow, the mic didn't work at the start: DHiqig3wNsU Good old Sophie, in a year of disappointing comeback songs, she delivers this gem :D Shame she didn't manage to continue the success with her next couple of releases but no matter, this song made number 1 for 3 weeks on my chart and that's all that matters :P Actually looking at it's chart run this song didn't want to go away did it?? 26 weeks?! Good Lord!
December 29, 200717 yr Author 13: Grace Kelly - Mika http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1721083.JPG Chart Run: (25, 23, 12, 6, 2, 3, 4, 4, 6, 6, 9, 14, 15, 18, 18, 20, 22, 27, 29, 28, 31, 31, 31, 33, 38, 38) {25 wks} Live on Later with Jools Holland: mC9UzFhNlbA This was one of those songs that very nearly didn't make my chart at all. It was everywhere, and just as with Gnarls Barkley the year before, if an unknown comes along with a massive song I assume it's going to be a one-hit wonder and therefore don't want to know. Luckily for me however, my friend bought Mika's album and let me borrow it, and Grace Kelly quickly zoomed up my chart. After all that he's released hit after hit and is the highest ranking male on my top 100!
December 29, 200717 yr Author 12: All Good Things (Come To An End) - Nelly Furtado http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1714378.JPG Chart Run: (37, 29, 17, 11, 4, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 5, 4, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 8, 17, 18, 16, 19, 25, 31, 33, 33, 35, 37) {31 wks} Live from Loose Tour: ja2wewrhyVg This song was originally number 1 in December 2006 where it stayed at the top spot for two weeks before being knocked off by Take That in the Christmas chart. Nevertheless, it returned to the top of the chart at the start of 2007 and remained there for 5 weeks! It managed to stay on the chart for an amazing 31 weeks! 2007 has really been a good year for Nelly, however, as the recent 'success' of Do It has proven, it's time to stop releasing singles and make a new album!!
December 29, 200717 yr Author 11: Too Little Too Late - JoJo http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1716751.JPG Chart Run: (31, 27, 24, 21, 14, 15, 14, 10, 7, 6, 2, 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 8, 15, 19, 19, 20, 20, 20, 25, 25, 26, 27, 30, 33, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40) {35 wks} Live at AOL Sessions: fhilS4gMrgM I love this song  I started off liking it but not really giving it much time which explains it's incredibly slow rise to number 1. Once it reached top 10 though it stuck around for aaaaages and stayed on chart for a whopping 35 weeks (maybe the longest charting song of the year - not sure will investigate!) Shame the record company mucked up The High Road album because there were some excellent tunes on it and Coming For You should definitely have been released. <_<

December 29, 200717 yr Author Cheers for the comment Mikey! Did you have a nice Christmas?? Nude Year eh? What on earth do you Gillinghammers get up to when no one's around????
December 30, 200717 yr Author 10: About You Now - Sugababes http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1748515.JPG Chart Run: (31, 17, 11, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 13) {17 wks} [still on chart] Live on some TV show: cd8Qn4SYI3o The highest charting song out of those still on my chart. This song really sticks out for me as one of the best of 2007, and was a great comeback song from the Sugababes. Spent 5 weeks at number 1 and is still in the top 20. Who knows, it may well feature in the 2008 top 100 :o
December 30, 200717 yr Author 9: You Know I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1720849.JPG Chart Run: (35, 19, 10, 9, 9, 5, 5, 5, 8, 12, 16, 18, 17, 18, 21, 19, 22, 24, 22, 25, 25, 25, 28, 27, 28, 30, 29, 39) {28 wks} Live in London: k6L90NAaY6Y There's every chance she may be drunk again in the video but again, what's new. Random fact for you, Rehab never entered my chart. Not sure why because it's a damn good song, but at the time I didn't really get what all the fuss was about. Never mind though because Amy's done damn well in this chart! And Love Is A Losing Game has followed Back to Black and this track into the top 5 so watch out for it in 2008!
