Kicking off The Bad Chart at 10, is one of the most over-hyped albums of 2007, Spirit by Leona Lewis. He [simon Cowell that is] talked about it, Screamed about it, Yelled about it, Bragged about it, got her name tatooed on his ass about it, and when it finally came, most of us where thinking, What The f***?!. Bland. Zero-Personality. Zero-Charisma. A Yawn-Bore, just a few of the words describing Leona's first album. But it never came as a shock, as someone who had been "founded" by the Z-Factor, sung ballads every week and of course, had the team who where behind Westlife to back her up.

At 10, Pop-flop Of The Year Award Goes To... Dan. No, it actually goes to Aly & Aj, and undeservedly, as 'Potential Breakup Song' is one of the few good pop songs of 2007. 5 Years Ago, it would of worked, but this is an era where only Timbaland, Danja and Crap Production like that only matters. Oh well girls, better luck next time, if there is a next time.

'Baby Love' & 'Whatever U Like' are good RnB songs, but also so is 'Stickwitu' & 'Wait A Minute'. So what has this dirty little minx been doing lately? Well, she ditched the PCD, Flopped everywhere, Has gotton pissed and sung Buttonz on the Kareoke stage in almost every pub in her town, and not to mention the fact that Amazon.us have now scheduled her debut album's release date as Dec 31, 2020. (No seriously, they have!). Ditch this faze, and get back with the girls.

[P!nks Tour/Artist+Tour]

P!nk has had a good old year. Her 4th album, 'Im Not Dead' came to an end of an era in March this year, with her final release 'Leave Me Alone, Im Lonely'. P!nk is one of the few REAL artists out there at the moment. She writes, she sings live, and her music is kept gritty and down to earth. She also recently just finished a massive world tour, which although I didn't get tickets for (<_<), although I've watched vids (dvd release) and it's amazing. So yay for P!nk.

My name is 'Amy Fukking Lee, and dont mess with me'... INSTERT MEGA MASON HERE. :manson: What a way to kill of a decent band? My kicking them out of it. I predict that in a years time, Evanescence will consist of just Amy herself, attempting to sing vocals, play guitar, bass and piano at the same time. 'Fallen' was amazing, 'The Open Door' was ok, however I doubt that there will even be a next album. So please, a BIG round of applaus to The Biggest Dick Of 2007, Amy Lee!

[britney Spears - Blackout + Piece Of Me/Album+Single]

I've never listened to a Brit Brit album before, and I never intended to. But 'Gimme More' was one of her best released singles (at the time) so I gave it a try. And how pleasently surprised I was. :o The album is sludgy, dark, sexed-up, dirty and brilliantly produced (thanks to Danja). So she's got something right. Secondly (and even better), is the little gem that causing a bit of hype at the moment, 'Piece Of Me'. It's tounge in cheek, and has the potential to be one of her biggest hits in years, that if she's prepared to do promo for it.

[Girls Aloud vs. Sugabages -Walk This Way/Charity]

What n00b woke up some morning and though, I know! For charity, Girls Aloud and Sugababes could duet on the biggest RnB Collaboration Of All Time, the song that introduced white people to black music, that song that helped break Rap into mainstream popular music, all these things, yet it still went ahead. What a f***ing disgrace. Who cares if it was for charity, it has no reason for being as bad as it is.

[Mark Ronson (And Others)/Album+Artist]

Now here's something we don't see everyday. A producer who can make Jazz appeal to a wide audience. The album, 'Version' features big names like Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Robbie Williams and many more. It has spawned two massive singles, covers of 'Oh My God' and 'Valerie', and is one of the good surprises of 2007. :D

Danja produces brilliant material, but we're in an era where it's only his and timbalands work that matters.

i agree about leona's first effort. it's boring and over-hyped.

 

however, we wish her well and hopefully, she'll take more risks on her second effort.

I agree about Nicole Scherzinger. She needs to get back with PCD - they had great pop-R&B songs but Baby Love was just DRAB.

Danja produces brilliant material, but we're in an era where it's only his and timbalands work that matters.

 

I know what you mean. I think artists are too quick to turn to Timbaland now to give them a hit. I think a few artists have shown that it's not always the case, like Rihanna, who hasn't released any of her Timbaland songs and still had massive case.

 

I do love most of Timbaland's stuff, but it's getting to that point that Pharrell got to a few years ago and people won't be interested anymore because something new will have come along. Hopefully it will be Diplo ::fingers crossed::

[spice Girls - Headlines/Single]

Second biggest over-hype of the year goes to... THE SPICEGIRLS. :nocheer: For weeks ever it was announced that the Spice Girls are reforming, people where saying, "I wonder what they will sound like, I wonder if the song will be good?!". Turns out the song, 'Headlines' sounds like a bunch of 3rd-rate Spice Ballads rolled into one, and that is the outcome. Boring sound and of course, Victoria being the only girl not to sing by her own (she has the whole Royal Navy behind her as backup singers on the track to help disguise her voice).

[My Chemical Romance - Teenagers/Single]

Teenager was is of my most favourite songs by a band this year, they've had a good old year. They've became more popular and gained more publicity, plus they've made some cracking video's. Not much to say, because alot of people hate them here and feel like they just HAVE TO debate about their genre. So yea.
