I can appreciate albums that aren't my type of music. =/ 'Spirit' isn't one of them. It's just a bland and boring album with a fairly strong lead single. Just what I think (well, and most reviewers except a couple).

Kicking off The Bad Chart at 10, is one of the most over-hyped albums of 2007, Spirit by Leona Lewis. He [simon Cowell that is] talked about it, Screamed about it, Yelled about it, Bragged about it, got her name tatooed on his ass about it, and when it finally came, most of us where thinking, What The f***?!. Bland. Zero-Personality. Zero-Charisma. A Yawn-Bore, just a few of the words describing Leona's first album. But it never came as a shock, as someone who had been "founded" by the Z-Factor, sung ballads every week and of course, had the team who where behind Westlife to back her up.

At 10, Pop-flop Of The Year Award Goes To... Dan. No, it actually goes to Aly & Aj, and undeservedly, as 'Potential Breakup Song' is one of the few good pop songs of 2007. 5 Years Ago, it would of worked, but this is an era where only Timbaland, Danja and Crap Production like that only matters. Oh well girls, better luck next time, if there is a next time.

And also, I would hardly call Mark Ronson. It's probably the most distilled and commercialised kind of jazz made "trendy" for radio 1.

Second biggest over-hype of the year goes to... THE SPICEGIRLS. :nocheer: For weeks ever it was announced that the Spice Girls are reforming, people where saying, "I wonder what they will sound like, I wonder if the song will be good?!". Turns out the song, 'Headlines' sounds like a bunch of 3rd-rate Spice Ballads rolled into one, and that is the outcome. Boring sound and of course, Victoria being the only girl not to sing by her own (she has the whole Royal Navy behind her as backup singers on the track to help disguise her voice).

'Blackout' was at #08 earlier on the Good Chart, but Britney as an artist, a person, comes #05 on my Bad Chart. Dear dear. It's been a tough year for her. She f***s the biggest t*** on the planet, gets pregnant, has kids, gets divorced with him, leads a messy custody battle which is still going, she shaves her head (which tbh I didn't see it to bad as a thing), she gives her worst performance on her 'comeback' stage the vma's, and then theres the lack of promotion. If she stopped visiting Starbucks 24/7, and moved out of L.A. and sorted herself out, then she would easily find the time to put 110% into her fairly decent album.

And from Britney to 2007's 'comeback-story', Rihanna! Whilst also producing a fairly decent album, Rihanna has topped the world, let alone the Uk Charts, with the massive hit Umbrella. Bit ironic that England had it's worst floods since 50 Years, but that dosn't matter. Umbrella, Shut Up And Drive, Hate That I Love You and of course, the upcomming 'Dont Stop The Music', she's had a wild year so far. 'Dont Stop Rihanna'.
