I ended up goin g to lunch and insisting Mum came too. Dave nearly caught my fingers when he slammed the door. It's not really wortbh it but, I'm stubborn. Unfortunately he doesn't watch his Dad enough when I'm out. He hadn't drunk the drink I left with him, or had the next one. He was choking and so I had to make an emergency appointment with the dorcter. He's now on antibiotics. It seems that going downhill quickly is usual at his age.

He seems calmer now. I've got an extra couple of drinks down him and he feels cooler and is breathing easier.

Men are worse than children when they don't get their own way - throwing tantrums. I'm glad you didn't give in Meg even if it cost you afterwards - tantrums are best ignored.

Sometimes I really regret giving up work. It's not just the rest of the world that you become a non-person, it's to those around you as well.

Even when you work you can be a non-person to those around you. Sometimes I feel like the unpaid slave just there to cook, clean up, shop, wash up and a bottomless purse for the kids. Still shouldn't complain - I did get a card on Mothers' day(unlike last year when the forgot completely. Chocolates would have been nice but hey, can't have everything and after I asked Claire she did wash up after lunch.

How did your daughter get on with her A level law PiP?

Edited by Nina

I hope she got the result she wanted. Exams are nervewracking - waiting for the results probably worse.
Dincan James and ruthie henshaw really. Chicago, Mama Mia and Les Mis mentioned. Ruthies new show opening in March was plugged and both's role in Chicago plugged. They were supposed to be about active shows, so I'm not surprised that GWTW wasn't mentioned - lots of other shows weren't mentioned either.

Is Duncan back in Chicago then? I thought Terence Maynard was doing Billy until the end of April.

Ruthie's starring in Marguerite.

He's not back in yet but I wouldn't be surprised. I wonder how his visa application went.

Why was he on the show then?

Why is Duncan so popular with the media? They were fawning all over at the 10th Anniversary. I just don't get it.

I think he may be being turned into a TV personality. Everyone chooses theuir own path.
Well, I'm awake, my Mum is watching programs I really don't like, my father-in-law is asleep but, Mum will call me if he wakes. So, I'm on here and, for once, I should be.

legit at last. I'm on but I shouldn't be - I'm late and I've got a dinner date to go to. Unless I drag myselfout of bed super early tomorrow, I won't be on.Might be a while but....................

I'll be back!

Where's that Arnie pic of Darius when I need it?

that is why I never worked after I had kids, i could see me working AND being the unpaid slave at home.

not the grade she wanted, she will have to retake it in June, but after a massive tantrum she decided all was not lost - the law course isnt a straight A's reliant one, I am sure she will get in, as it stands now she is only 30 points shy, and she hasnt done her English A level exam yet - as usual its my fault for not making her revise enough..and its my faullt I nagged to much and put her off revising, as a mum you find you will always be blamed in the end..LOL

PIP I am sure that your family don't see you as a non person! Certainly your daughter doesn't as according to her, you are the person to blame for her not revising enough :D Positive out of a negative and all that :)

My sister has 3 kids(2 children and 1 husband) to look after, as well as working part time and running a guides/brownies club. I take my hat off to all mums as it's a full time job that they fit in around all the other things they need to do each day

It's the hitting out syndrome. They're hurt and they have to pass it on. One day she will appreciate everything. It's the waiting that's hard.

When I look back I don't know how I juggled everything . You just adapt to your circumstances, I think. That's why we women were made to multi-task.
Going to get the papers with the kids. Well, I'll be getting the papers, they'll be at the sweet tray.
