It didnt I went expecting the worst but Sue pollard and the other two singers excluding Clare sweeney were superb both ex leading ladies from the west end. Apparently it has played to sell out audiences in glasgow and other places. Could be the westend later. I just cant get over how brilliant sue pollards singing voice is and what a performer she is.Clare sweeney, just glad she wasnt miss adelaide in guys and dolls when I saw it.Sue p9olla\red says in an interview that longevity is due to reliability and turning up.
going to bed....hope I sleep - last night was bad last looked at the clock at 3am then was woken at 5 by Billy :( then I was awake.......

Hope you're sleeping soundly still Pam.

I actually slept a bit better last night (no weird dreams) until my hubby woke me at 4.45am faffing around with the duvet.

I should be setting up my printer to print out my e-mail confirmation for my seat on the overnight coach to London tomorrow night.

I couldn't stand the thought of not seeing GWTW, so hang the expense, I intend to see both shows on Wednesday. Is anyone going then?

I told you - get two duvets. It's easier and he can just play with his own.

Or separate beds, different rooms, then I won't hear him playing with the duvet.

GWTW hasn't done much for my sleeping. All the time I'm sleeping (or waking) the songs are spinning round in my brain. Dunno how the critics can say they aren't memorable - they keep waking me up.

GWTW is going around in my head too.

Watching the audience jump to their feet on Wednesday has just made my sadness at its premature closure even deeper.

Darius is fine. He'll survive. I know I shouldn't feel this bad but I do. It's not just Darius, it's everybody and all their hopes and dreams cast aside when some faith I'm certain would have turned the tide. They were on the point of not just getting their audience but getting repeat audiences.

The last night was so good. There were tears from the cast and the audience. Jill sobbed. She is lovely. They ended the show with 'Wings of a Dove' - loud, joyful and full of hope for the future. It enabled tears to be dried and smiles to prevail. A brilliant ending.
I wish I had seen the last show too, I felt so sad walking to the tube, knowing that the evening show was to be the last! this time there were plenty of other GWTW bags on show on the walk,
They'd run out of most of the merchandise though. I wanted another couple of mugs but couldn't get them.

There weren't many mugs on display on Wednesday. That's why I bought mine at the matinee and had to lug them around.

Are they not still available from the website?

I am glad I got mine last week, and got two not the one! it seemed a lot of people wanted something from the last shows, the mugs are lovely though, too god to drink out of..
