My father-in-law fell out of bed at 2am. He's not hurt but, could I get back to sleep once I had him settled? Men don't just sleep through baby noises, they manage to sleep through their dad noises as well.
With difficulty. It's a bit like having n over large baby. He can't remember any of it this morning - and he doesn't even have a bruise.

That's amazing. I suppose if he was sleeping he'd have been totally relaxed when he fell.
I found somethings moved, so I now think he was trying to get up when he fell. He knows he can' get out of bed by himself and I do wish he souldn't try.

The thing is - he may not always remember it, although when he's lucid he does.

Are those guard things they have for hospital beds commercially available for normal beds?

Goodnight, all. I'll be up for a good while longer. I'm just watching Question Time just now. I feel very wide awake.
Goodnight BT hope you're sleeping now. I'm off to bed shortly.
I'm waiting to take the dog out. He'll only get 30mins while Dave s here. He'll be lucky to get that for the rest of the weekend.

I really miss walking my borrowed dog every day. If I lived nearer you, I could be your dog walker.
He'd really like that - he's gone from 2 -2 1/2 hrs to between 30mins and an hour.
