I'm still wound up and down. Kids back at school today - that helps.

I have noticed that Nina's keyboard doesn't stop me pressing the wrong key - but it does put that stroke up and in the order I press them. No more missing ts.

I did something really stupid to my laptop last night.

I moved a little plate with a burning incense cone out of the way of my cat's tail and dropped it onto my computer. I managed to flick it off quickly and it's onlydamaged the plastic pads of 2 keys.

When I flicked it off my computer, it burned a bit of my table before I could get it back on to the plate.

I was scared to close my laptop in case there was still a cinder in there but thank goodness no real harm was done.

That's typical isn't it? But you couldn't have risked the cat - that'd have been far worse. i'm glad it still working and you aren't hurt.

A laptop's just a thing. I'd just have bought another. I'd get a better one for half the price that was paid for this one.
My daughter wrecked out laptop a couple of years ago by spilling apricot juice onto the keys.
Fruit juice is very good for ruining mechanical or electrical things. orange juice ended one of my camera's life. I was happy with that camera as well.
Beer and rain isn't good for cameras either.

Beer and rain isn't good for cameras either.

Didn't dampen our spirits though, what a fantastic gig that was, not least because I got to meet lots of you guys for the first time :) Wonderful memories

Ruined my camera though. What a shame some people had to behave like idiots.

What a shock I got when someone told me it was a lady(term used very loosely ) that was throwing the beer :o Bad enough if it had just been a drunken bloke but.... <_<

I got lucky and my camera was ok, though sadly it has now failed :( I have loved that camera  it has taken lots of good pics and gives me lots of good memories. Even though I can no longer use it(properly) I think I will keep it anyway :)

oh dear, glad nothing major happened then, my kids have ALL spilt their cans of drink on their keyboards - thats why I dont like laptops and stick to PCs, its fairly cheap to replace the keyboard, my son spilt his drink just after nuying a brushed aluminium keyboard which looks very smart..ruined of course..and I had warned him about the drink,,but he ""wasn't that stupid, mum.."

should be watching the men replacing my guttering..they got here, put up the scaffold..they sstarted to get out the facia..then I told them it should be black not white, they weren't happy bunnies, as they had been given the wrong facias at the depot..and would need to go back, 1 1/2 hours away - they have left the scaffold and are coming back tomorrow as it will be too late to start by the time they get it sorted..men!!

WE're back to horrendous wind and rain up here. I doubt if there'll be much outside work going on anywhere.

Time goes so slowly when you're waiting in for workmen. There are so many companies now who won't even say morning or afternoon and you have to waste the whole day.
It's going colder now the sun is going down. So many people have colds round here. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't that we have such lovely weather ion the mornings, then halfway through the afternoon it suddenly gets colder. A bit difficult when you're out without a coat.
