Ah but it's even funnier if your mum ( like mine did) comes in for the last ten minutes of a film and does that.

Even funnier when hubby falls asleep ten minutes into a film, then wakes up at the end and demands to

hear the whole complicated plot. I often tease him about it. To be fair, he had been working flat out

in the garden all day.

I often miss the middle of a film. That's the only thing I ever found useful about Sky repeating films so often.
I seem to be cooking, taking people to the toilet or putting them to bed - I never seem to see the whole thing - but I still need to explain it to my Mum even if I've missed it and she hasn't.

Do you just make it up then?

I have to go shopping - not for me but for my cats. At least it's dry and calm today. That's a bit of a novelty here.

No. By what happened before I left and what happens in the rest, it's usually clear what's gone on.
have you been writing scripts.....my family say I do 'cos I know what has happened when not there

Nothing just now. Just hoping the weather holds. We're going to the park later to let the wee one roll her eggs down the big hill there.

I should be catching up on housework - cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, hoovering. I have a story I should be writing and I ought to be reading GWTW.

Instead I'm on the computer reading boards.

I went for the papers in the snow today - huge flakes, which melted the minute they hit the ground. That really bad wind has stopped though.
Dad has just had his 3rd cup of tea. I've shaved him and he's sitting with his paper. In 5mins he'll be asleep. Dave's on his pc and, for once, Ishould be here. I'm listening to Classic fm. The trouble is, it's automatic to mentally tune out the ads. So, I'm not sure I'd have missed it if it had been on.

It's still fine here so that trip to the park is still on. If it's open we'll maybe nip into the restaurant at Mackintosh's House for an Art Lover and get some afternoon tea.

Charles Rene Mackintosh entered detailed drawings of a house for an art lover ( ie. a house which was art in itself but also practical to live in) into a competition in Germany.

Contemporary artists and fans of Mackintosh had their dreams come true when the plans became reality and the house was built in Glasgow, after years and years of research. It feels like a home. I could happily live there and the white music room with it's wonderful French windows leading out onto the terrace is to die for, simple clean lines but truly beautiful. No wonder it's a popular wedding venue.

I've been there. I had a Mackintosh day, going all round the places connected to him. I really love his style.

Did you go to the church hall? That's the strangest thing of all, sitting in the Mackintosh small hall amongst ordinary down to earth Glaswegians having a chat and a cup of tea. Even the toilet cubicles are the original Mackintosh design.

The metal ceiling trusses in the big hall are amazing and it's definitely weird to be looking at them and taking apicture when something catches your eye, which turns out to be the playgroup's toys stacked at the side.

I think it's great that in the last couple of decades we in the UK have started to bring wonderful buildings back into use instead of stifling them by slapping listed status on them and letting them rot.

I love Mackintosh's light fittings.

Meg! you hae snow!

we have sunshine and blue skies

the church was full...daffodils smiling...just on my way to my mother-in-laws to walk the dogs

The snow didn't settle but it was those huge loose flakes. I like snow like that, nice tp look at, no cold wind and non settling. it's the first day for ages that we've not had bright blue skies. it's also a lot warmer today than it was yesterday - snow or no snow.
