It will all sort itself out, DD. Just do your best to help your Mum, and comfort the children, and

remember the good times.

The 13th birthday party went well - so I've been trying to sort out the pics. Naturally, her team won at Polo. The night out went well - only 2 of them looked anywhere near 13 much more like 16. Luckily, ours is quite happy about that, she reckons she has a long time to be completely grown up. She also points out that I havedn't made it yet. We had to sit at a table the other end of the restaurant - out of sight and mind. They were, of course, free to come and bother us anytime they wanted. Most had never been to a sushi place before. Good fun. As an unbiased observer, she is so beautiful and so lovely with it.
Glad she had a good time Meg. Take it as a compliment that she thinks you haven't made it as a grown up yet and yes, you're such an unbiased observer.... but I agree she is lovely and beautiful and clearly adores her nan.

For a 13 year old she seems to have a very mature attitude to life.

I've actually bought my tickets for GWTW but I couldn't get J-M, only seats well to the side.

I had to do what I didn't want - go down to the front (G19 and G20). They're dead centre so I think I'm safe.

Producers seats? I've heard of house seats but not producers seats. The only other central seats in the stalls were in row U - the back row. I wonder if they're house seats.
It's just what they called them for this. They are usually held for the producers and normal 'house' seats. Supposed to be the best in the theatre.

I'm glad that I suddenly took an notion to phone and get my tickets today.

I was intending to wait until tomorrow when I've a couple of other "business" cals to make.

Normally, you don't get offered them. I'm glad you did. I've got those for when I take my Mum and when I take Dave.

I must have sounded so disappointed with the few choices she'd given me, that she took pity on me then.

I was reluctant to take either side because I thought in that quasi-"in the round" situation, I might end up looking at Darius's back for part of it, if I chose the wrong side.

Whatever reason, it's great you got them. If you're still going the day you planned, we'll turn and wave.

Yes, at the beginning of May, on my way to Canada. I really can't think of anything on earth better to do the evening before I fly out.
I should be planting plants, but the wind is howling, already blew half the compost and pots up the garden when I was trying to pot things - and it looks so nice from inside with the sun shining

Yesterday was brilliant. When I got up it was grey and raining by the time we left it was dry and the sun was trying to break through. The rest of the day was beautiful warm sunshine. The bit my Mum enjoyed most was walking over the Jubillee bridge and looking at the sky lines. She is absolutely shattered today.

We only made it as far as the MacDonalds on The Strand as she couldn't walk another step by then. She says it's the best day out she's had for years (2 yrs, when we got her to see 'Chicago' but, we put her in a taxi then and she missed the thrill of walking in London.) I've just got her up and she's still tired and very happy.
