Glad you had such a good day Meg. Pity it wasn't D on the show, nevertheless your Mum obviously

had a very memorable day. I love the Jubilee Bridge, looking over to the Globe and the Tate, and St Pauls

on the other side.

Do you remember how it swayed too much when it was first opened, and they had to close it for adjustments.

I love strolling along that section of the SouthBank when I'm in London. It never feels crowded.
I remember wishing I'd gone to the opening - just to see how much it did sway. A friend who did said it was a most peculiar feeling - and not one you could ignore.

I know that I can't be happy for long on holiday anywhere they're there is no stretch of water and yet I'm not a sunworshipper. I prefer beaches when they're less crowded, in the early evening when the sun is about to set.
In Corfu, I had the beach to myself. No one else got up until the time I'd leave the beach anyway. You could paddle in the water and watch the flat fish swish away as you put your feet down.

from beaches to boring. I should be ironing the lunch club's table covers and tea towels.

You've no idea how tempted I am to buy one another gadget - a compact steam press.

Ironing is a waste of time, that's why I don't do any.
I don't think you are supposed to admit that publicly Nina.LOL
When we were first married I enthusiastically ironed everything. God, those cotton sheets!!!!!!!!!!
I've got to start dinner - and I haven't bought it yet. I've been slightly distracted. We met up in London anyway on Friday, even though there was no show. There were still things laying around in the theatre. It was good to see it all clear when we got there.
It looks more compact than it is. The sound, from where I was sitting was really good. Everything looked to be in good view.

Great. That's good to know. I may have to do a few budget visits later in the year to get my Darius fix.

On my first one, I'm like you in that I like to take in the whole show but I also try to remember which area of the stge Darius is on for each of his scenes.

That might not be possible in GWTW because I'm guessing he's on the stage more often than he was in either Chicago or G & D, although Rhett is away from Atlanta quite often in the book.

There is a Brazilian club next door to the theatre and people seemed to be queuing up all evening to get in, Lots of bouncers around and crowded.

Why aren't I supposed to admit I don't iron? I don't care who knows. There aren't enough hours in the day as it is - without losing them to pointless chores.

A brazilian club eh. that'll be fine and handy for Darius to practise his Latin dancing .
