I find my mobile phone a pain. Money's never any problem................. just remembering that I actually have a mobile, remembering to take it with me when I go out and above all, checking the battery power and charging it before it gives up on me.
You and my mum have something in common there. She still likes to be independant - which is great - but when we arrange to meet, she's never there and then you find her mobile phone is a) still in her case, B) with her but not charged or c) back in Blackburn.
Not when you spend the next hour searching for her it isn't. I wish she could learn to stand still and be at the place we arrange at the right time - or answer her mobile - tha's the other problem - in the time i takes her to find it, the call's gone anyway, or else she presses the wrong button and disconnects it.

I'm actually very good at time keeping and I'm usually the one waiting at the meeting place looking desperately around.

I got the mobile in case of breakdowns in the car in some lonely spot. maybe I should just leave the thing in my car and get on with my life without it.

Mine comes with me but doesn't get used much. It's just in case people need to get in touch with me.

I charge it and take it with me if for instance I'm coming down to see Darius in case there are any hitches in arrangements

but I couldn't life a life in servitude to the machine, like so many young ones do.

I should be making brunch. I naughtily went into town on business this morning without taking breakfast.

These days I'm often needed if I'm not i the house. It's not the machine I'm a slave of.
I should be going to bed but I'm busy removing viruses from my main computer.

Hope you've got them cleared Nina.

I should be sleeping but Billy was moaning so I ad to let them out...dogs that is.

I haven't slept well anyway.

I've just swopped the washing round and folded the dry, drunk a coffee and now answering here.

I'm sure I'll be ready for sleep in a bit....just as I should be getting up :(

Bet you're already up Nina....I know your body doesn't do sleep :(

Well, I woke at 6.15, having breakfast now. Still need to rerun anti virus today. Had done so for about four hours but hubby stopped it without realising what he was doing. I also ran spybot but when it was trying to remove problems, it hung on me. As it was nearly 2am by this point, I gave up and will try again today.

Sorry you didn't sleep well Pam.

I got more hours than you Nina....don't know how you do it

My husband is snoring in the front room

I should be eating lunch. My father-in-law is fed but, I came back on here instead.

There's lots I should have done this weekend. Instead I have spent hours and hours trying to clean a virus from our main computer. I still haven't managed to and will now have to reformat my hard drive and reload XP.

Have had to copy all the important files. Thankfully the laptops are virus free. I think it was a windows live messenger virus. It's very sneaky. When you are on messenger it pops up as if from a friend who is online and asks if this is a picture of you. When you click on the link, you let in the virus. Once you have the virus and go onto messenger, it sends itself out to all your friends.

Very nasty and loads itself from start up in windows. My anti virus and anti spyware can't clean it, nor can I work out where it is to clean it.

:o that's awful Nina....so glad you know what to do

Couldn't live without a PC nowadays

....I should be ringing Meg....
