The show's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe explained that Spears needs to "pull herself together" if she wants people to take her pop career seriously. "I would have had Britney Spears last year when I thought she was trying to get it all back together again," Lythgoe told Usmagazine.com. "Britney, at this moment in time, I don't think is well enough to do anything ... I think she needs to pull herself together." December 19, 200717 yr i agree with him. no one is taking her seriously, and although i haven't heard her album, apparently it's supposed to be her best work to date and i think all the press attention is over-shadowing the album & it's potential to do really well. i think the first mistake was releasing the damn thing. it's obvious she isn't ready to promote the album.
