Posted December 19, 200717 yr Joss Sets A Soulful Mood … [Thursday 13, December 2007] A perfect night of soul music was in store for the crowd that gathered at The Enmore to witness the fine talents of young UK songstress Joss Stone. Amid the laid-back atmosphere, Joss was accompanied by her seven piece band who were dressed in suits and hats; their instruments included guitar, bass, two keyboards, drums and horn, as well as her three talented back-up singers - all joined together to harmonize perfectly. Joss beamed with a relaxed confidence and oozed her unique jazzy, R&B, bluesy sound as she commanded the stage presenting songs Headturner, Bruised But Not Broken and Tell Me What We’re Gonna Do to the receptive crowd. Her happy persona showed as she skipped and danced about the stage with her trademark barefeet and purple hair, often letting out a giggle in response to the cheers of her fans. Joss sang a mixed bag of songs from earlier albums as well as newer tunes, including hit single You Had Me that had the fans singing along. Tell Me ‘Bout It continued the bluesy, deep-soul feeling that the band had produced throughout the night. After a rowdy response from the audience, Joss returned on stage to complete the entertaining night with an encore to be proud of – Right To Be Wrong and a crowd-pleasing cover of Bob Marley’s 1975 hit No Woman No Cry prompted the crowd to sway, sing along and catch flowers that Joss threw from the stage as she departed.
