Hey any1 got any info about Westlife's album sales??? I thought they had close to 10 million albums in the UK alone. Anybody can help? I have these sales but not sure if they need update:

 

 

Westlife 1,445,000

Coast to coast 1,659,000

World of our own 1,165,000

Unbreakable 1,200,000 (?)

Turnaround 750,000

Allow us to be frank 650,000

Face To face 1,250,000

The Love Album 950.000

Back Home 561,887 [over 650k now...]

Well it's not 40 Million as Simon/Louis seem to think.

Isn't it just?, and Louis Walsh pimping them every X Factor when they have a release coming out is unjust.

 

You can tell it's Christmas when Westlife have a new CD out :( .

Does anyone know how much they have sold really? I am curious because the old cheating scums Simon Cowell and Lous Walsh always lie about their acts sales.

 

I mean..Hello. New Kids On The Blok have sold 35 million world wide and they were massive. Westlife are nowhere near as big as them so surely they could'nt outsell them :blink: :lol:

It is not just Louis Walsh who 'pimps' Westlife on 'The X Factor'.

It is Simon Cowell too. Louis is their Manager, & Simon signed them

to Sony BMG in the 1990's - so 2 of the 'X Factor' Judges have a

vested interest, (making money!), in ensuring that each Westlife Album

gets Promoted on 'The X Factor'.

 

They also make sure that some Westlife Songs are Sung by the

Acts each Year.

 

Louis & Simon Cowell should be paying ITV - for all the free advertising

for Westlife, & so on. That it is ITV who pays them, says all there is to

say about how bad UK TV often now is, & how bad the UK Charts can get every

Christmas, these days.

 

I too have seen Louis claim that Westlife have sold anything from 35 Million

to 40 Million Albums - Globally - but the UK is the only MAJOR Market where

they consistently have No.1 Albums & Singles. They do so in Ireland/Eire,

too, but their Sales there cannot be very huge, as only 4 Million people live

in that Country.

 

Basically, the 35 to 40 Million Album claim is garbage, hype, & false.

They do sell very well and they give a lot of pleasure to their fans. I wish people would accept that there are a lot of people who actualy enjoy what they do. We can't all like the same music, it would be boring if we did.

 

As for saying their sales are untrue, I'm sure most record companies and managers inflate their artists sales to a certain extent, not just Simon and Louie.

Yeah, especially when ALL their albums(minus Coast To Coast) FLOPPED globally.

 

CTC really was massive in Asia(it has sold 1,5mil) but that was it.This was the one and only album that really had any sort of succsess.

 

I'd say 5 mil in Asia, 10 mil in the Uk , probably 2 mil in Europe ,500k in Australia

They have NEVER been big in America(both North and South)

So around 17-18 million they have sold album wise. As you can see nowhere near 40 million :teresa:

They sold more in the UK I'd say and they have sold a bit in America and Africa. Anyway they must be around 20-25 millions. It doesn't matter anw. I want to know about UK sales...
