Erm surely one of the best electronic outfits in existence?

 

I really love all of their albums, in particular the most recent "Silent Shout" from 2006, excellent moody and dark electronica.

 

Also a very highly rated live band.

 

Any other fans out there?

I think there's a place for The Knife in indie - there's more the attitude than the sound.

 

If you check my Christmas mix thread (which everyone's ignored :D) then there's a Knife christmas track in there!

yeah you two!!! (thats as in richie and jake not dublin's resident tower developers mates :lol: ) spot on!!! totally spot on!!! with the point that its not just to do with sound its more complicated than that with attitude, culture, social context, creativity, art, high culture and the avant guard and all that kinda thing. and you shouldnt categorize by gender, colour or sexular orintation which a lot of people do without knowing they are doing it (ie female singer = pop, dude = rock)
