Fenerbahce v Sevilla

I think all the English teams will progress. Both Liverpool and Arsenal have "difficult" opponents on paper but whatever the team, they'd have got a difficult team to play. All English teams will progress methinks, Arsenal should breeze past AC Milan and Man Utd and Chelsea have relatively easy ties.

If league form continues Liverpool will face a very difficult tie.

They'll probably be out of the title race unless they drastically improve so will again focus everything on the Champions League. But Inter are so far ahead if they continue to anything like as well as they have been they can rest all of their important players in the league too. I doubt Man Utd and Chelsea will be troubled too much and I think Arsenal will be quitely confident against an old AC Milan team. But, like Liverpool, the chance of domestic success could be long gone by that stage so they can focus just on retaining the Champions League.

Liverpool are as good as out.

The one team Liverpool wanted to avoid from the draw was the runaway unbeaten Italian Serie A Leaders....

I think right now with the diabolical luck they are currently having... (outplaying Man Utd at home and losing, losing in the "Worthless Cup" (© Alex Ferguson) to a Lampard deflected goal that was going well wide, ridiculous sending off for Crouch after Obi's appalling gamesmanship etc) if they played Russian roulette they'd shoot themselves dead 10 times out of 10.....

All the other English teams should easily progress (AC Milan are doing hopeless so far this season in mid-table in Serie A), although sadly it should be the end of the road for Celtic against a misfiring Barcelona.....

I just hope things look a lot different come February 2008.

How can you say that about Crouch? Whatever Mikel did, there was no need for it and it was a horrendous challenge. Red card every time. There is no excuse for it. At all.
