Well I bought this dvd yesterday at Blockbuster on a whim, and it is the scariest movie I have EVER seen in my life. I noticed that all the actresses had British accents so I didn't know if it was released here after a release in the UK.

BUT OMFG, last night was the first night I had to leave my door open for some light for more then 5+ years :o

i think the US had a different ending to us though?

thats terrible if it is, as that ambiguaty is what makes it such a good film

At the end of the movie she dreams that she gets out and then she sees Juno in the car with blood streaming from her eyes and then she wakes up. At that point she sees her daughter with a birthday cake, but then as the camera turns you see it is just the lit torch she had with her.

AMAZING FILM TBF! I let my friend Laura borrow it. I think it opened here with 8.9million dollars and ended up making about 40 million in the States...which is pretty good!

It's a good film, I didn't find it that scary tbh but I thought it was very well directed and was an excellent horror film. With the fact that she dreamt what was going on, maybe she dreamed about those creatures inside the cave and then the despair of being trapped in the cave led her to kill her friends? Just a theory.

I think the ending to it is great anyway. She's imagining her daughter and then the camera pans and you see the creatures coming towards her and then it ends. Really leaves you thinking about the film after it's ended.

Yeh... really good film it is, was more gripping than scary and the ending really does get to you

My favourite character was Juno for some reason, when she accidentally killed Beth I was so surprised...I could not even imagine what I would have done in that situation.

I didn't really get the ending, it was quite a scary film though.

Ugh Juno was such a stupid bint ahah!

Clearly the best girl (even though I'm not sure of her name because their accents were weird and well made up!) was Holly/Polly.

But on the subject of accents, I can't really stand watching it because of the woman with the most ridiculous voice. I don't even know her name, but she's the health & safety chick who's all "be careful rah rah rah you can get hydophobiiaaarrrr, halloooosinaaahhhsions" and just weird.

Her name was indeed Holly, and I quite liked the safety girl. She died in a pretty brash way :(

^ how did holly pass away again?

^ She thought she saw daylight and ran and fell down a hole ahaha. And her leg was mashed, they tried to save her etcetc but the WILDEEBEASTS came and like, ate her ):.

She was so sweet though!

"Don't say that, it's sentimental!"

Holly: "It's f--king mental!" <333

Full screen, why do they bother with doing that???

oh yeah, i remember who you're talking about now.

the scene when they were trying to put the bone back in was sick!

A very entertaining flick. The US version does have an alternate ending because the US distributer thought the original ending was way too pessimistic and wanted a more optimistic ending. And btw, a sequel to this is in the development right now.
