Posted December 28, 200717 yr Well, music wise, what do you hope Rob will do in 2008? I personally, hope he spends the first half of the year finishig off his new studio album, which I want and hope to be his best ever  I would love the rumours to be true about a September 23rd release, as that is the perfect timing. The single will start getting aired in June probebly, so we won't have too long to wait. I would hope the next album would be a mixture of all the endless different genres of music Rob has done over the past 12 years, but I especially hope for more of a rock sound for the next album with some classic ballads thrown in as well. Something similar to his first three albums really, but obviously a new fresh slant on it. Now that he is working with Guy Chambers, and Mark Ronson, we could be in for one hell of an album. Just as long as he does'nt release a Swing album I'll be happy  I'd also love for him to announce a 2009 tour obviously, with a free gig in Dublin he promised with me getting VIP seats :smoke: :P
December 28, 200717 yr Ok...I am gonna have a wee think on this one...Ok...... Like your wishes though..... :funky: ...will get back...... Night all.................. ;) Edited December 28, 200717 yr by scorpionstingray
December 28, 200717 yr Tbh, even though I have his album and like alot of his work, I hate the fact that Mark Ronson is working with Robbie. It's not the right genre for Rob's music.

December 28, 200717 yr Author Tbh, even though I have his album and like alot of his work, I hate the fact that Mark Ronson is working with Robbie. It's not the right genre for Rob's music. A whole album, probebly not, but a few songs yes. Lovelight is an excellent song, and Mark produced it very well. Rob is one of the most diverse singers there is and can pull off anything he wants imo. But I want the classic Robbie sound back for the next album. ^_^
December 29, 200717 yr I don't know... I mean, I was never a big Robbie fan but I liked the different style he was going for with "She's Madonna", it sounded different, but maybe the die-hard fans didn't like it?

I mean, I was never a big Robbie fan but I liked the different style he was going for with "She's Madonna", it sounded different, but maybe the die-hard fans didn't like it? No offence..I liked the video for She's Madonna but not the song...however I was proved totally wrong as it was very big worldwide even in the USA dance charts.....just my taste I guess...... I do like Rudebox though....The Actor is one of my favourite tracks along with the 80's & 90's....I could never get into Lovelight & could never see what the attraction was in that song....... It is very hard to know what Robbie will do...it is never something that we expect whether it is Swing or an original album....he did say I believe in April that his next album was Swing but not Swing...well now what does that mean...R4FL will remember exactly what he said.....Robbie never gives too much away with these things & lives to keep us guessing...... :P

Nothing to electro/computerized/jazz like the route Mark took Amy Winehouse down. Or maybe something like Ego A Go Go, which recently I've grown to LOVE. EDIT: Or actually, something like 'Lola'. That would be amazing. I don't know... Tbf, She's Madonna is probally the closest song on the Rudebox album to the old robbie. I wouldn't mind a 'Viva Life On Mars' however.

December 29, 200717 yr Viva Life On Mars is my favourite track on 'Rudebox' (alongside d!*kh**d that is  ) :naughty: :naughty: you naughty Lola...... Lola is a great track dont' you think...I love it & if that is anything to go by then the reignition of RW/GC should be mighty cracking......
December 30, 200717 yr I'd heard Robbie was doing 2 albums this year. A swing one (called Swing Again, apparently, and released on Feb 18th) and an original studio one. I think his best album is Intensive Care and the song Advertising Space is just amazing. It's my favourite song not just by Robbie, but probably fave song ever. Intensive Care wasn't given enough room to breathe. It was released in Nov '05 and 11 months later Rudebox was released (which I like, and especially love the title track, the video for which was fab!). Intensive Care is his crowning achievement (so far) and I hope he goes down that route with the new album (not too manic pop like the first 2 albums, although they were good, especially for the time they were released). There was not a single bad song on that album. All of them could have been singles. Edited December 30, 200717 yr by Denise Young
December 30, 200717 yr I think if robbie has a swing album out by feb. 18th, then its just a very quick contract-filling album.
December 30, 200717 yr Author I think if robbie has a swing album out by feb. 18th, then its just a very quick contract-filling album. That was just a rumour, and one that at this stage can only be false, as it is there is no chance there could be an album coming out in over two and a half months time and we have heard nothing official. It is highly unlikely. I hope the September release rumour is true and it is for a new original album. Release the Swing Xmas 09 if really neccasary.
December 30, 200717 yr Wow Scotty you have it all worked out :o (scary :P) Personally another album (non swing) would be great aslong as he didn't work with Timbaland <_<. Another tour to Australia would also be great and ofcourse im already happy there isn't anymore soccer B)
December 31, 200717 yr I hope the September release rumour is true and it is for a new original album. Of course it's true. :smoke: He's working on a original album with Guy Chambers & Mark Ronson which will have a new sound, contagious melodies & frenetic rhythms which involes the artists Timbaland & 50 Cent. What would you do without me. :smoke
December 31, 200717 yr What would you do without me. :smoke: The word party comes to mind :hic:  :P
December 31, 200717 yr I wish for 2008 that Robbie will release at least 1 album. Maybe it's too much to ask but I hope he will exceed all expectations :cheer:
