Michaël Youn (born December 2, 1973 in Suresnes as Michaël Benayoun) is a French actor, singer, comedian, and TV and radio personality.

After his education as an announcer and theater actor, Youn joined the Paris radio station Skyrock in 1998. There, he made sketches and further entertainment during the morning show.

His popularity and success at the most important French private broadcast station brought Youn to the attention of French TV executives. In July 2000 he was hired for the new morning show "Morning Live" shown on Métropole Télévision M6. With Vincent Desagnat and Benjamin Morgaine, Youn did the entertainment part of the show. Like their sketches and public events.(e.g. foam bath in a Paris fountain), their parodies were particularly successful. In particular, they parodied the music scene of Jean-Michel Jarre, casting-popstars, the Grand Prix and French rappers.

The success of "Morning Live" was mainly due to Youn and his colleagues – when they left the show, it remained on the air for just one more year.

After leaving "Morning Live" in 2002, Youn, Desagnat and Morgaine have focused on their music parodies. Towards the end of 2006 they picked up a parody from their old Morning-Live times: the hardcore rappers Fatal Bazooka, in which they played two rappers called “Profanation Fonky“ and “La Marmotte Infernale” who wore balaclavas. Using a hardcore style of rap, they rapped Fous ta cagoule ("Put on your balaclava"). It reached #1 on the French charts.

The CD-single Fous ta cagoule of 2006 parodies multiple French rappers, in particular Grand Corps Malade and Booba. The video clip was made by Nicolas Benamou. - Wikipedia

Grégory Lemarchal (May 13, 1983 - April 30, 2007) was a French singer and winner of the fourth series of the reality TV programme Star Academy, broadcasted on the TF1 television network.

Grégory was born in La Tronche, and raised near Chambéry, as the first child of mother Laurence and father Pierre Lemarchal, with a sister Leslie. At twenty months of age, he was diagnosed with the hereditary disease cystic fibrosis.

In 1995, he became France's champion of acrobatic rock.

In 1998, he unsuccessfully participated in the show "Graines de stars", but became a local star.

Through a friend, in mid-June of 2004, Lemarchal was contacted by the producers of Star Academy in Paris who needed one more male singer for the show. On December 22, Lemarchal was announced the winner, with 80% of the total vote, an unmatched score.

His debut single, "Ecris l'histoire" peaked at number two on the French singles chart in March 2005 and was certified platinum. His album, "Je deviens moi", released on April 18, entered at number one.

At the NRJ Music Awards in January 2006, Lemarchal was awarded "breakthrough artist of the year" ("Révélation francophone de l'année"). In the spring, he completed his first solo nationwide tour, and a DVD of his performance at the Olympia was released. A new French duet version of the British singer Lucie Silvas' hit single "What You're Made Of" went to number two in the singles chart.

In 2007, Lemarchal announced that his health was deteriorating and that he was ordered by doctors to take a few months off in order to recuperate. However, he died of complications from cystic fibrosis on the morning of April 30, 2007, waiting for an organ transplant.

The story was in the news headlines all week and five thousand fans went to Chambery to lay flowers on the day of his funeral. On May 4, a special television programme was broadcast on TF1 to commemorate his life, and its 10.5 million viewers were asked to donate money to help progress research into finding a cure. So far more than 7.5 million euros has been raised.

Since his death, Gregory and mourning girlfriend Karine have been featured in a wide number of tabloid stories. A posthumous album was released, and controversy has raised on whether he would have wanted the songs featured in it to surface or not. Record company Universal Music Group France has also been accused of cashing-in the renewed interest in his work that followed his passing.

In 28 december 2007 also star academy 7 had a special night for him called la voix d'un ange and raised over 5 million euros for the foundation of gregory lemarchal "vaincre la muciviscidose".This night students of the star academy 7 sang his songs, his family was invited, artists with who gregory sang with them like Helene Segara, Patrick Fiori and Julie Zenatti, and some friends of gregory who were in the same season with him in star academy. It was a wonderful night filled with love, humour and memories like gregory wanted.- Wikipedia

Patrick Fiori (23 September 1969-) is a French singer.

Fiori was born to an Armenian father (Jacques Chouchayan) and a Corsican mother (Marie Antoinette Fiori) in Marseille, France. When he was only 12 years old, he was offered his first role in the musical La légende des santonniers. At the age of 16, he recorded his first single, entitled Stéphanie. In 1993, Patrick came fourth place in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Mama Corsica. The following year, his first album was released, entitled Puisque c'est l'heure. The following year, Patrick signed a contract with Sony and recorded his 3rd album Prends Moi (Take me). Patrick finally decided to end his role in Notre Dame de Paris in the year 2000 in order to dedicate more time to his fourth album, Chrysalide. Koxie created her MySpace page with her first single "Garçon" also known under the title "Gare aux cons". The song evokes, with humour, the exasperation of a young woman towards the stupidity (sexism and vulgarity) of some men (boys in the text). The song is based on Dr. Dre sample.

It was a true success and the title was listened by more than one million Net surfers[2]. Koxie signed with AZ label and marketed her single on June 25, 2007. "Ka Mate" is a Māori haka composed by Te Rauparaha, war leader of the Ngāti Toa tribe of the North Island of New Zealand. Te Rauparaha composed Ka Mate as a celebration of life over death (Pōmare 2006) after his lucky escape from pursuing Ngati Maniapoto and Waikato enemies. He had hidden from them in a food-storage pit, and climbed back into the light to be met by a chief friendly to him - Te Whareangi (the "hairy man").

"Ka Mate" is the most widely known haka in New Zealand and elsewhere because it has traditionally been performed by the All Blacks, New Zealand's international rugby union team, immediately prior to test (international) matches. Since 2005 the All Blacks have occasionally performed another haka, "Kapa o Pango". - Wikipedia
