I'm surprised Kylie was so low. :o

I think the top 3 might be Nelly, Robyn and Sugababes. Not necessarily in that order though. Although I want it to win, I think we'll be seeing Valerie next. If Valerie doesn't win then I hope Bleeding Love or Umbrella gets it, but as I said I don't think any of them will be top 3.

Two of the best tracks, Standing in the Way of Control and Fluorescent Adolsecent (interestingly enough the only two indie tracks on this list -_-) are already out. Pfft. BJ has c**p taste sometime.

Yeah, if you have a d!ck then you're basically screwed from the start in these kinda things. (And yes I know the Gossip is led by a female, but I was talking about the Monkeys)

I'm amazed that the Arctic Monkeys even made it to this stage anyway.

No Nelly to win this please God!

I want Sugababes or Leona to win :Love

No surprises really except I thought The Gossip would be last, and Gwen would be a lil higher.

Mmm I think Nelly will win, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was Leona.

"Girlfriend" became Avril Lavigne's most successful single not only here in the UK but worldwide making #1 on the Billboard 100. I must say it was one of my favourite tracks from last year just because it always makes youw ant to dance and act like a complete lunatic. There's been lots of controversy surrounding the record though as many people have marked it as a rip off of Toni Basil's 'Mickey' and the song even became the subject of a lawsuit filed by a band named The Rubinoos who claimed it plagerised their song 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend'...

'No One' saw Alicia Keys launch her 3rd album since 2001's 'Songs In A Minor'. I didn't expect the song to have such a great reception nor to make the top 10 and become one of the biggest singles of 2007 but it definately deserves it imo. The track became Alicia's 4th UK top 10 hit following on from her first single 'Fallin' which made #3 and her collabarations with Usher and rapper Eve.

Well a long way off the top ten is Timbalans's 3rd chart success of 2007. It seems he's worse than a virus crawling into ever knook and cranny. I mean if your album doesn't have him on then you're obvs not cool right? :drama:

This is by far my favourite of the 3 and hopefully now Onerepublic will be able to make it on their own. The vocalist is very talented having cowritten Leona Lewis' mammoth #1 hit 'Bleeding Love' and their debut album 'Dreaming Out Loud' is spellbinding especially the new single 'Stop + Stare".

No One and Apologize are both good songs, although I'm tired of both now. The right placement for them out of the 20 abouts. -_-

Girlfriend is :puke2: but I feel like a parrot by keeping on saying that!

Apologize shoulda been SO much higher!

xXx

Hope Girls Aloud get top 5 ? :s

I hope Girls Aloud get top 5; but I doubt it.

Thanks for doing this Gramz.

Apologize is a bit overrated I think but I do like it.

No One is just amazing though.

UGH! Joining Fatass Kingston, 50 Cent, Walk This Way and that Proclaimers dross in my top 5 most hated songs of 2007 is this collabaration from Ronson's 'Version' album featuring Winehouse. It became the third top ten of the year for him reaching #2 and becoming one of the most overrated, overplayed songs of the year. Excuse my bitterness I just really despise it and much perfer The Zutons version. :P

Coming from nowhere in Summer 2007 - MySpace sensation Kate Nash was hailed as the year's answer to cockney slang queen Lily Allen. 'Foundations' I thought was going to flop but it went on to become one of the year's biggest hits spending 5 weeks in the runner up spot losing out on one of those weeks by just 16 copies to Timbaland's 'The Way I Are'. Nash also had top 40 singles with 'Moutwash' and 'Pumpkin Soup' and her debut album 'Made Of Bricks' topped the album chart.

I really thought this song would be a lot bigger than it was. Seemed to be very popular but sadly only reached #8 in August 2007. An all time high for Groove Armada but undeserving for the song as a whole. Mutya must be wishing she'd stayed in the Sugababes now as the girls are going from strength to strength whilst she is looking at missing the top 75 this coming Sunday with her new single which even the power of Ms Overated Winehouse can't save.

Miles ahead of the #8 is Britney's comeback single 'Gimme More'. What can I say? This lady has had an impressive 19 top 20 hits [soon to be 20] in the UK since her record breaking debut 'Baby One More Time' in 1999 and whilst I personally regard all of her hits up to the vile 'Boys' and her 2004 singles as classics I think not only has she lost it mentally but she's lost it in terms of music as well. 'Gimme More' is OK. An average attempt with an utterly disgusting video. But it seems to be loved by so many hencei ts high position here. I much perfer 'Piece Of Me' but there you go. :heehee:

Hope she sorts herself out though. <3

Robyn has been around for a while you know. :o Anyone remember 'Show Me Love', the top ten hit from 1998? :heehee: 2007 saw her return to our charts in spectacular style. The Sweedes do it best it seems. 'With Every Heartbeat' became a surprise but much welcomed chart topper in August whilst her self titled album and follow up single 'Handle Me' also made the top 20. She's now gearing up to assault the charts again with 'Be Mine!' and even provides backing vocals on Britney's latest hit 'Piece Of Me'.
