Im sure the circus still has more weeks of number 1 left in yet it may not be consecutive but i can it bouncing on and off the number 1 spot for a few weeks yet.

Just think .... if the Best Live Act category was still in the Brits this year ... which we all know that Take That would have won ... the dvd could have been number one until Spring.

YES DEFINITLY it would have given the dvd a huge sales boost but sadly the brits have stupidly removed what i feel was one of the most important awards, then again take that can sell without brits promotion as they have and truly shown.

Still good going! Had the DVD been number 1 consecutively until this point?

No it was number 1 consecutively but this is the 4th consecutive week it hasnt been number 1 here. I think it will definitly be number 1 in the Uk this week as it will sell very well as a valentines gift.

Of course ... the 'drops one place to number four' should have given it away. I think what I meant to say was how many consecutive weeks was it at number 1 for. You're right too ... I think it'll just squeeze one more week at number 1 in the UK.

8 weeks it spent at number 1 in total here in ireland, id say dvd sales could be quite healthy again in the UK again this week.

UK Update So Far

The Circus down 15 places to number 69

Ultimate Collection climbs 2 places to number 74

Edited by Feel_The_Fever

The DVD has slipped one place to number 2 this week with 12 weeks on the chart. Replaced by Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. I'm so annoyed at the Brits dropping the live act ... because it would have gone back to number 1 this weekend but it doesn't stand a chance now.

But ... Rob was very kind in an interview today ... he criticised the Brits for dropping the category and said that Take That would have won it hands down. Maybe he'll give them a little mention at the Brits tomorrow night. You'll have to let me know if he does Pete ... I won't be able to watch it tomorrow night ... I'm letting Allan have control of the remote as a special birthday present!

12 weeks is a great run for the DVD and very well deserved. It's so disappointing about the Live Act Category. I'll be recording The Brits so I can fast forward the bits that I can't bear to watch! With Robbie being there this year I can't help but remember the year that David Walliams and Matt Lucas dressed up as Howard and Gary. I wasn't even a TT fan the first time around but I remember not finding that funny at all and thinking how obnoxious the whole thing was

I think it'd be really funny if Rob were presented with his award by Lucas & Walliams again (but they must be dressed up as Gary & Howard again). Rob found it hilarious the first time ... I'm sure he'd find it even funnier now! Sadly ... they'll probably go with Ant & Dec. I'm not watching the Brits tomorrow ... nothing to do with Rob ... but I love the Winter Olympics so I'll be watching that (unless its curling ... in which case I'll just have an early night!)

Shame the dvd slipped and yes had the live category being kept in the brits we would have seen a sales surge for the dvd, it would be a lovelt slap in the face if take that won best brits performance of the last 30 years.

The full uk update we have now is

The circus drops 15 places to number 69

Ultimate collection up 2 places to number 74

Greatest live live climbs 6 places to number 92

The dvd drops 1 place to number 2.

Pete I'm hoping they DON'T win the novelty category this year! That was one of their most embarrassing moments as far as I'm concerned. I think I'd rather have Robbie and Tom Jones win for theirs. In fact ... I'd trade Robbie winning three Brits tonight rather have them red-faced with shame.

Either way ... I think Michael Jackson or Spice Girls have this in the bag.

Phew! Glad the Spices got the novelty award. I think Rob as well as Take That would have been embarrassed to receive that one. I must admit ... I was sure that Rob would win Best Male ... and if I'm honest ... I'd rather he had over Dizzee Rascal. I just don't get him!

I do like like some of dizzee stuff over the years and he has been nominated for a brit a few times before and never won, robbie has won enough plus he will get enough exposure tonight getting life time achievment award which i must say Kylie and Take That and well deserved for that award aswell.

I think The Brits have used this year's events to wipe clear the memory of Take That ever taking part in it. I've just heard about the circumstances surrounding the 'Best Performance of 30 Years' award. With all the fuss that was made of it being an important category ... they stuck it right at the beginning and they didn't even have a lead up to it ... just straight in with the winner (Sam Fox apparently made a fluff of it too!) The ONLY reason they dropped the Live Act Category is that The Brits cannot stand Take That and see them clearly as an embarrassment.

I tend you agree with you but what the hell have they to be embarrased about, they are one of britains most talented bands, yet we have a joke of a band like JLS getting 2 awards tonight.

My other theory is also that the academy know Take That have completly over shun robbie since they returned and giving robbie the life time achievement award this year would put more focus back on him, im sure it kills them how successful take that's albums abd tours have been since they returned

I must admit though Pete ... I'm going off Take That. All this talk from Robbie about 'something big' worries me. I don't want them to join ... not even for one song ... let alone an album or performance. And I'm so glad that Rob didn't include anything of Take That tonight. I must admit ... his performance was a lot more restrained than usual ... but his dancing ... oh my god! He makes Gary Barlow look like Gene Kelly!
