I understand what you are saying but what i cant understand is even leave take that out of the equation, surely if you like a song regardless of who sings it you listen to it? I dont fully understand how you wont listen to a song because of who is singing it.

What im trying to say is just say for example we never had heard patience(im using this as i know you love the song) but just say IF AND I MEAN IF they did release something and they released patience would that mean you wouldnt like the song???

In regards robbie im the same as you norma if the decision was left to me i would keep well clear of him, but the way i see a re union is, is that its robbie who looks the fool in all this, his career suffered alot since take that reformed with huge success, in the UK his album sales are far lower than take thats. Robbie was the one who slated take that and now its him re joining them which shows everything he said was a lie.

Apart from all that though its about the music, if i like a song i buy it not matter who sings it, likewise if its crap i wont buy it so i will be waiting to hear what the material sounds like.

I think though, that I've only got into music again in general since I went to see Take That in 2006. Apart from then (barring going to see Maroon 5 in 2004) ... I hadn't bothered too much with buying music or going to concerts since the late 80's - very early 90's. The Ultimate Tour in effect, got me back into music and listening to other artists too. So I was actually anticipating the release of Patience before it was even released. I remember listening out for it ... hoping and willing it to be great ... for their sakes ... and it didn't disappoint. Yes ... I'd still like their back-catalogue even after Rob came on board ... but I wouldn't be interested in anything they do since (if that makes sense). To me ... it will have proven that although they don't need Rob ... Gary, Mark, Jason & Howard do feel themselves that something is missing ... and if they have so little faith in themselves ... then stuff them. Besides ... there are a hell of a lot of Take That fans who have only gotten into them because Rob was not a part of it ... I doubt they'll stick around once he's back.

Again i agree with what you are saying BUT as you say there is alot of fans who dont want robbie and those people me included have got 2 fantastic studio album without him, maybe if they do an album as a 5 piece they are responding to the robbie and take that fans who do want them to relesae something together, as there are still alot of huge robbie and take that fans who would just adore a re union.

Yes a re union may show the 4 boys feel there is something missing and that would be natural as they started out as a 5 piece however it would also show that robbie also misses been part of that unit and maybe he still has regrets about leaving in the first place.

For me though ... it makes Gary Barlow out to be a total hypocrite ... as I remember him saying in an interview two years back (in The Times Magazine) that he looks at photos of the four of them now and sees that there is nothing missing. Mind you ... it is all about money these days ... and I suppose Gary and Rob are no different to anyone else. In fact ... Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams are more alike than the fans or even themselves probably like to think.

Anyway ... I'm off to watch Race With The Devil now (an old film from the 70's that I remember was good at the time.)

I think you are been far far to cynical Norma, a si have often said i am by no means a robbie fan msuic wise and most cerainly not personality wise. But that aside these guys went on a journey together and they cannot jusy wipe that out. Gary saying they feel complete probably stil lis very true, but artists do duets from time to time and then carry on as individuals after that, there is nothing wrong with that at all.

I mean many bands lose members and fall out an dthey sometimes make up again and sometimes making up and working together again can be a disaster, look at the verve for an example of that, and that could very well happen IF robbie and take that work togeher again as ego's will clash.

Peronnelly i hope they dont work together again but if they do and it works and i like the music then i really cant complain too much, a good song is a good song regardless of who sings it and that is what will be important to me.

If someone had said all the humiliating things to me, that Rob has said about Gary, the only thing that could make me work with them again would be a large amount of money. And THAT is the only reason I can see anything happening.

Yes no doubt money would be a factor in the take that case but as i say nothing has been conformed yet so they may never release material together, we have heard all the rumours before and nothing happened and it could very well be the same again here.

Just finished watching Race With The Devil ... I'd forgotten what a bloody sad ending it has!

I dont think i ever saw that film to be honest, we better switch to the general chat thread for this or people will be confused about this being the general chart thread.

Pretty good result for the DVD this week. It falls only one place to number 5. Unless the name has Jackson attached to it ... every other DVD drops too! I think there are four Jackson DVD's in total in the top 10.

Thats great news about the dvd holding top 5 for yet another week.

The circus album surprisingly stays top 75 for another week as its a non mover at number 75 this week.

Both bits of chart news were surprising for me ... I thought the DVD would have dropped more. I'm not hopeful that it can hold top 10 for a few weeks more. I wouldn't be surprised if the Michael Jackson This Is It DVD doesn't stay long at the top and will definitely not match The Circus stay there.

Michael jackson may beat take that on weeks in the top 10 but it wont outsell it which is the main thing

The circus album now should be very near the 2.1 million mark now.

Well we have no take that in the top 75 album chart which i think is the first time that has happened since they first released the ultimate collection.

I don't think Michael's TII dvd will even stay in the top 10 for ten weeks let alone ten weeks at number one. I think he'll have maybe one more week at number one, then drop to two then to about 8 and then out. His other dvd has dropped a place already (whilst The Circus has actually gone up again!)

Norma

Do you know what number the dvd is this week?

Up one from five to four with 15 weeks on the chart. Its sales must still be going pretty strong too as it isn't a stagnant chart. There are three new entries in there (one enters higher than TT ... the other two below). Apart from from the new entries ... Take That is the only riser within the Top 10 ... all the others drop ... with the exception of the aforementioned Michael Jackson's TII ... which is the non-mover at number one.
