Have Take That not toured Ireland already? I am thrilled The Flood is platinum status but i had thought it had already reached platinum. It would be wonderful if the UK tour can push album sales, Three is worthy of double platinum status.

Gary's performance on the Late Late Show in the States last night.

I was hoping he'd do SATN and I was soooo glad he sang it, but I would have wanted to hear the full version, with the big note at the end.

Anyway, at first, I couldn't tell if it was really live, because his voice sounded perfect, just like on the studio version. I'm happy his voice isn't leaving him just yet.

Good to see Higher than Higher debuting at #86 in Belgium!

Glad to see it charting anywhere :)

I think this is one single I'll always be pissed to not have seen promoted at all :(

Good to have you back, Milly. The lll era has been a strange one for all sorts of reasons. It's a shame that HTH and other good songs haven't received a wider audience.
Yeah, especially as they promoted the album at the tour venues by saying there were 4 singles from it. They only pushed these days in my opinion

I still don't understand why TT aren't trying to make a radio deal in US. From what I understand, in US, you can pay for radio time. A month or 3 months or radio play cost around 100.000 dollars. I know it's a lot of money, but TT surely can afford that kind of money. If at least one or two songs caught on US radio, that would instantly make UK radios and Europe along play them as much as possible. Considering they're not willing to promote much at this point, from what we've seen, a US radio deal could suit them just fine, in my opinion.

I've been following the promotion of Leona Lewis's new album in US by Def Jam and, although her material is beyond boring and immature (in my opinion, of course), radios seem to spin it quite a lot. Of course, sales are not tagging along, but it proves that US radios are more open to Adult Contemporary than UK ones and that could benefit TT.

You'll all notice I'm like a dog with a bone when it comes to HTH  I really really really really looooove that song and I'm still in the mood of strangling the boys for not promoting

Jay is right: aside from These Days and a bit of Get Ready, nothing has been promoted this era.

The promotion of the singles as per normal has not been good but that is a long term problem that is now the norm which is not good enough. I understand why they aren't trying to make a radio deal in US. After 25 years into their career it is probable that they decided it is not meant to be. I would also believe the boys are not prepared to spend huge amounts of time outside the UK and away from their families.

I know they said, when they came back, that they weren't willing to spend much time in US promoting. But things have changed since then, their children are now grown up, Gary is spending lots of time in NY and LA anyway...A radio deal wouldn't demand any of their time and I'm sure they can afford to lose a few hundred thousand pounds between them in an attempt to get their music played by US radio.

We have to face the fact that, the older they get, the less willing UK radios will be to play them. They need to find new ways of getting their music across.

I would whole heartily agree with your comments. They most certainly will have find ways to get their music to the wider audience as most certainly the older they get, the less willing UK radios will be to play them. They will have to be innovative with future releases and stand out from others if people outside the core fan-base are going to take notice of them.

I really can't see any major change in how they promote and release their music. Their output has been relatively stable, with an album release every two years, up until their three/four year hiatus.

Any attempt at breaking into the wider European , Asian, and America markets should have been considered on their return in 2005/6. For whatever reason; family commitments, a lack of confidence in their material, poor marketing and management, all will have played a part in the strategy they chose. I'm afraid, however good their music is from now on, there is little possibility of success outside of their core fan base. It isn't all negative in my view. I strongly believe that they can regain some momentum in the UK market and have another million selling album - outside of this their chances are negligible.

It is in many ways hard to predict how future releases will sell by Take That. I do not think they will have much problem reaching platinum selling albums. That said, i would be doubtful of million selling albums apart from a brand new Greatest Hits release. If they release a new Greatest Hits and promote it wisely, start the campaign with a strong Take That trademark single (ballad) and release in the fourth quarter of a year i believe it would be a huge seller. It would be followed swiftly by the release of a brand new studio album to keep the momentum going. That approach is the direction i think is best suited from this point.
I think we may be able to see if they'll change their approach soon...Gary today tweeted that new music is on the way!

It seems TT are booked to appear at the Apple Music Festival this month. This follows on from the Car Fest Festival. Not sure about this new strategy, as I can't see TT gathering new fans from these type of events. I do wonder why they've suddenly gone down this route?

What they should be doing is booking TV slots. As there are few shows outside of X Factor and Strictly in the UK their own "Audience With" type show would be most effective.

To add to my earlier post it seems that the festival is over 10 days and will be broadcast around the world. Some big acts playing over that period, but unfortunately I can't see TT getting many headlines with the likes of ID playing. Nevertheless it will be great to watch their live performance.

I'd like to think that they'll showcase some of the other songs from lll, such as HTH, Freeze, Into The Wild - but it's unlikely :(

If you have apple music you can watch it live

Can someone, please, explain to me how we can watch the Apple Festival? Is it possible even if we don't have Apple products? I only have iTunes - is that gonna help me in any way?

I saw that they used HTH in the background of their Apple promo; I hope this means they'll be performing it live at the festival.
