Posted January 5, 200817 yr For now anyways, K-Fed has custody of the children. http://omg.yahoo.com/court-awards-spears-k...k-fed/news/5328 Sorry if posted already!
January 5, 200817 yr She is not in a fit state to be looking after the kids atm either physically or mentally so I see no other alternative
January 5, 200817 yr It is best. I never thought I'd say that. You can't take care of others unless you take care of yourself first. Hopefully she can get help and then fight for custody again at a later date.
January 5, 200817 yr Plus, she'll be in hospital until the 14th. she just got released according to perezhiton.com
January 5, 200817 yr she just got released according to perezhiton.com No way?! I'd guess if she has, she was never on suicide watch or anything? You don't let someone out who's a potential suicide threat out after like 24 hours surely??
January 5, 200817 yr ;) No way?! I'd guess if she has, she was never on suicide watch or anything? You don't let someone out who's a potential suicide threat out after like 24 hours surely?? i know... its madness!! She was seen leaving the hospital with Dr Phil and apparently he is about to release a statement over the next few hours... this is what Perez said about why she was released from hospy Britney Spears was let go from Cedars Sinai medical center because she no longer posed an imminent threat to herself as perceived by the hospital, PerezHilton.com. The trainwreck demanded to be released, and Cedars Sinai had no choice but to let her go. A source tells us, "It is very difficult to keep a patient in a psych ward at a hospital for longer than 24 to 48 hours. Even if you have tried to committ suicide (which Brit did not do) you are released as soon as you are no longer a threat to yourself. It is very very rare for someone to be in the psych ward of a hospital for more than a week or two even after attempting suicide." Continues our source, "Brit is no different than other mentally ill people. After being admitted and given meds they are released if they are not a suicidal threat to themselves or others." Spears' father, Jamie, was with Britney the morning of her release. Update: Britney probably left AMA (against medical advice), we're told. A source says, "Normally, you have to have a court order or judge ruling to keep someone against their will in the hospital." Britney's dad or lawyers should do that ASAP!!!!!!! she was also seen trying to go for a drive less than a few hours after she was released but once she saw the paparazzi, she turned around and went back to her house. i just feel soooo sorry for her.. i dont care who you are, nobody should have to go through whatever it is she is going through
January 5, 200817 yr I didn't read anywhere about her being on suicide watch so I'm pretty sure that's not the case. From what I've read from various sources she might've been taken in for psych evaluation but they wouldn't confirm or deny it. She wasn't expected to stay more than a day really either. I suppose I saw this coming. :( It's probably the best thing to do right now since she does need help.
January 5, 200817 yr this has just been put online about Dr Phil... The TV doc who paid a visit to Britney Spears on Saturday morning, just before she was released from the hospital, has just given this exclusive statement to Entertainment Tonight: "My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."
