Posted January 7, 200817 yr ePTcqtQPYz4 ONE-LISTEN VERDICT: When listening to Usher's monster hit from a few years back, "Yeah!," did you ever feel that what the song needed was less Lil' Jon, and more music that sounded like someone rubbing their wet fingers on a balloon, then turning that sound way, way, way up? If so, then "Dat Girl Right There"--the lead single from Usher's forthcoming album, which has apparently been moved up from "indefinitely postponed" to "maybe coming out sometime in 2008, we think"--is for you. The rest of the song kind of takes a backseat to the chaos provided by the backing track; Usher sings about seeing a girl, falling for her at first sight, etc., and Ludacris drops in for the chorus and a bridge where his voice is pitch-shifted so that it matches the squeak-sounds at each verse's end. January 7, 200817 yr Author I'm not really a fan of Usher's music anyway but this sounds more like a novelty single, very strange beat
January 9, 200817 yr This is seriously c**p, he needs to come up with something much better than this for a lead single!
January 10, 200817 yr So he's actaully back afterall? Wonderful! I was hoping he'd disappeared forever. <_<
January 10, 200817 yr Yhhh it wouldn't be -that- bad if they got rid of the squeakage ):. Ahahahaha though "sounded like someone rubbing their wet fingers on a balloon" <3
January 10, 200817 yr This is terrible! The squeaky noise thing is so bad and irritating. This is such a weak lead single - can't believe he's releasing this to lead his new album.
January 12, 200817 yr I'd be shocked if they led with this tbh... Buzz single? Well it certainly buzzes in one way :\
January 13, 200817 yr Awful Awful. I heard this on the radio the other day; and it really dirge. :puke:
