Posted January 7, 200817 yr Anyone see this last night on BBC? It is a new US drama series staring Glen Close and Ted Tanson, which has been getting rave reviews in the US and has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes. I watched it last night, and it is bloody fantastic, I have to say. More like a film than a TV show, so many twists and turns, and brilliant acting, especially from Close. It really makes you think, and if the rest of the series is near as good as the pilot then I can't wait. ^_^
January 7, 200817 yr I recorded it last night but not had time to watch it. It's that good eh? :cheer:
January 8, 200817 yr The first episode is available on iTunes for free :o Just downloading it now, will watch it later.
January 8, 200817 yr Brilliant :cheer: I'm not even going to speculate on who attacked Ellen, because there are so many twists :o Glenn Close at her absolute best  Can't wait for next weeks episode! Just Googled it, and it runs for 13 weeks :o Edited January 8, 200817 yr by Filthy/Gorgeous
January 27, 200817 yr I've watched the first two episodes (courtesy of Mininova... ). I can honestly say that this is one of the best legal dramas I have ever seen... Better than "Shark" or even "Law and Order"... People talk about Clooney's performance in "Michael Clayton", but I reckon Glenn Close easily tops that one... She deserves an Emmy for this...
March 25, 200817 yr Author Anyone else still watching this? I have to say it is one of the finest pieces of TV I have ever seen. Such excellent writing, with so many twists. It is far too complex to be one of the US's biggest show, hence why it is'nt very well known. I just finished watching last night's episode. It was so gripping, I can't believe Ray killed himself :o Almost ever episode thus far has been utterly fantastic, better than most films imo. Glenn Close really is one of the finest acctresses ever imo. ^_^
March 25, 200817 yr I haven't watched anything so gripping for a long time  So much happening and only two more episodes :o Eeek, the letter from Gregory, and the video tape :o Lila the loon  Poor Ray had no choice
April 9, 200817 yr Author Bloody hell. The seaon finale of this Monday night was nothing short of outstanding. :o There was so many twists and questions for season 2, and whoever came up with the idea f ending it with James' Brown's 'Payback' was a genius as it fitted in perfectly. I seriously cannot believe how unknown this show is to most people. Almost everyone I know have'nt ever heard of it which seriously pisses me off because it is a billion times suprior to 99% of other TV shows in Europe or the US. In terms of script, acting and editing, it is arguably the finest TV show in the world imo. Glen Close is simply amazing in it, and who would've thought Sam from Cheers (Ted Danson) was such a great dramatic actor  It is really a stroke of genius imo and just so brilliant in so many ways. I seriously hope BBC decide to do it some justice for it's second series, and move it to a 9pm slot on BBC2, because it being on at over 11pm each weeks is ridiculous for such an amazing programe. I guess it is because it is American or something and If that is the case then I hope Sky One buy the rights to it. ^_^
