Posted January 9, 200817 yr Oasis - Wonderwall & Natalie Imbruglia - Torn :yahoo: I don't know if this has been said yet on here??? but I just read it of 'everyhit.com'!!
January 9, 200817 yr Woop. Wonderwall is one of the few Oasis songs I can stand, and Torn is just brilliant. Has 'Angels' sold a million yet, it's still selling well every week of the year.
January 9, 200817 yr Oasis' only first million seller then! Angels won't sell a million for quite a few years...it was between the 800-900k mark last time I looked
January 9, 200817 yr Yeah, Torn was mentioned as selling a million a few months back. Didn't know about Wonderwall though - this makes it Oasis' best selling single in the UK :o Both amazing songs and well deserved :D

Angels won't sell a million for quite a few years...it was between the 800-900k mark last time I looked I'm pretty sure it is now well over 900k - and could theoretically sell 25k a year without ever reaching the top 200. Any new material from Robbie would surely give it a boost, of course. Happy for Natalie Imbruglia, but I can't stand 'Wonderwail'. :(
January 9, 200817 yr Torn is a brilliant song. So good its sold a million, it really deserves it!
January 9, 200817 yr Were sales counted for whether it qualified for the singles chart or not? (presumably in 2006 neither song would have qualified for the chart)

I'm assuming its Back For Good with Patience a close second. Cheers! Plus - glad for Oasis not sure about Natalie's though - not too fond of covers (even if it was a good one). Norma

January 9, 200817 yr Two very good songs so glad to see them break the million mark. OK, so Torn is technically a cover but how many people know the original?
January 9, 200817 yr  <_ both rubbish songs  > At least 2 million people would disagree with you  They are both classics and radically different genres - if you think they are both rubbish, what do you like?!
January 10, 200817 yr they arent rubbish songs. If you dont like them fair enough, but rubbish they aint.

Norma Back For Good is the 100th best-selling single of all time with 968,000 according to Haven's list. I don't know Patience's exact sales but I doubt it's close to that. I'd guess it's their second biggest though.
