Rod Allen lead singer of 60s/70s band The Fortunes has died at the age of 63. He had been battling against cancer for some time.

The Fortunes had 5 Top 15 hits - 4 of them Top 10

Their hits were:

You've Got Your Troubles - UK#2 - US#7 LISTEN

Here Comes Again - UK#4 US#27 LISTEN - my personal favourite

This Golden Ring - UK#15 LISTEN

Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again - UK did not chart US#15 LISTEN

Freedom Come Freedom Go - UK#6 US#72

Storm In A Teacup UK #7

Their first single called Caroline was used as the theme tune for 60s pirate radio station Radio Caroline LISTEN

It didn't chart though and was banned by the BBC for obvious reasons.

Rod is second from left
