It's a MASSIVE letdown to be honest...there is only one outstanding track (Believe Again), 3 great tracks (In This Life, You Will Only Break My Heart, Possessionless) and a sea of mediocre to good tracks...having said that the b-sides of this era (Fever, Take Me Home, Fortune & Love, Unsure) are once again very good and better than most of the album tracks...

Believe Again's one of my least favourites  I like the album, favs are Possessionless, In this life, i can't break it to my heart and brave face :D

I love this album, and I'm guessing that's no surprise to most people.

I was actually in Australia when it was released, so I sat in Hyde Park in Sydney just listening to the album the day it came out.

It is different, I wasn't sure at first but now I actually love it, my favourite was Beileve Again and the I Can't Break it To My Heart and now I'm in love with Bare Hands [this has just crept from nowhere].

Fever and Take Me Home should have made the album, in my opinion and replaced Angels In The Room which I find so boring, almost as bad as A Year Ago Today or Will You Fall For Me, or You Are My Rock [i guess she has something against the last track on the album....].

Anyway, I can't wait for the release here, In This Life is just a great uplifting track so I really hope this is the first single here [as it was in Oz].

Possessionless and Bare Hands are 2 of my favourite Delta songs of all time  !
You will only break my heart and bare hands are the best two sings from the album :eub: and oh yeah, it's an import.
Angels In The Room is one of her best songs

in parts it sounds like lift muzak...(in the bits where she's not singing) -_-

Agree with you on the first point however, A Year Ago Today was my favourite non-released song from Innocent Eyes  I also really liked WYFFM and YAMR...I can live without Angels In The Room though

I love "Will You Fall For Me?", it sounds really sad and emotional.
I really want an Egypian theme for You Will Only Break My Heart - and Delta with two dancers doing the dance from Walk Like An Egypian!

Fair enough, just personally I am not a huge fan of those tracks, however I can see why others like them [each to their own and all that!].

I do wonder what the video to, You Will Only Break My Heart, will be like, I'm hoping fairly lively and with other people featured this time!

I'm surprised at the general lack of interest from fans for this album, I think she did a fantastic job going more upbeat pop, while still staying true to her trademark sound. Innocent Eyes was bland, half mfull of filler and felt rushed, Mistaken Identity was more cohesive and flowed, so I feel this album sits somewhere in the middle. It's got the c**p filler (One Day, Woman), the good (Possessionless) and the absolutely fantastic and heartfelt (Brave Face, I Can't Break It To My Heart).

My one major annoyance is two tracks (and a third if you include the iTunes bonus track) having near identical names, which greatly irritates me for some reason.

"Angels In the Room" is amazing....much better than her other boring album tracks like 'A Year Ago today' and 'You are my rock"!

Definately, the last chorus sounds so powerful

I hope the UK edition will be like the Japanese edition and have Together We Are One and Breathe In Breathe Out on the tracklisting as well! Please!!!

she obviously loves her heart

This album is the Australian Import, which was released there at the end of 2007. Its set for release in the UK sometime later this year and the import can be found in HMV.

The Japanese edition of this album will be released in february and will include 2 bonus songs including Breathe in, Breathe out and Together we are one.

Moved to the Delta Goodrem Forum...

i think this a pretty good album, not her best.

Next time i hope she creates a more creative and new sound.

my faves are : posessionless, ywobmh, the guardian, bare hands, icbitmh and angels.

Her b-sides are nice too!

I reckon her b-sides breathe in, breathe out, fever and take me home shuld've made the Oz version ... they culd've replaced Woman (too cheesy), God Laughs (It's not bad, but is more personal), and Angels In the Room (I don't go much for slow songs), or she culd've made there b 15 songs on the Album lol.

i agree, i dont understand the bagging of this album. i think the overall quality is the best to date. there are always going to be songs on the album that really annoy people. IE album had a year ago today, throw it away and running away that bugged me. MI had songs like miscommunication, you are my rock, sanctuary. This album has woman and one day.

I think a re release in australia should include breathe in breathe out, take me home (both replacing woman and one day) and then have a re worked fever as a bonus (i love fever but i think maybe the backing music doesnt really fit the tone of deltas voice)

overall, i love this album. songs like ITL, BA, YWOBMH, CBITMH, BF etc are amazing! i think it is a great album. maybe the tracklist just needs to be arranged a little better, but that doesnt worry me as i listen to it on my ipod (where the songs come up random!)
