note: this thread is not about the actual music but the idea behind the culture and notions of the definitions and marketplace pop and rock in mainstream popular culture - not a thread about who is good or bad - maybe maore about gender, race, sexuality, class etc etc etc. (rock = positive, macho, good, dredible and pop = female, homosexual, fey, negative, not worthy of credibility)
