June 4, 200817 yr Universal Motown pop R&B songstress Ashanti’s The Declaration looks to be in the 80k range. Poor Shanti :(
June 4, 200817 yr She really doesn't have any sort of fanbase these days. It's quite sad, especially as most people on forums like UKMix seem to think The Declaration is her best album. In my opinion it's way better than Alicia's As I Am or Mary's Growing Pains. :(
June 14, 200817 yr It sold 86k on Billboard in the end. Also Good Good, the second single, was performed on Jay Leno last night: U0kgwv7TflQ Amazing performance and she looks stunning!
June 14, 200817 yr Poor Ashanti. Those sales are terrible. Hope she can turn it around. I don't like "Good Good" either, but 'good good' luck to her.
June 14, 200817 yr I've now heard The Way That I Love You for the first time, i quite like it. Poor Ashanti, with those sales though
July 1, 200817 yr Yep its official. Good Good is next. Was hoping for a more upbeat track for the summer which Body On Me wouldve been perfect for :( even So Over You wouldve been better. Good Good is good good. A relaxed r&b feel to it but :( Body On Me is the next single for rapper Nelly and she was shooting the video a few weeks back in vegas. i had a video but i lost it. Looking for it now.

September 12, 200816 yr Who is this c**t? And Ashanti could have had the hottest album out and it still would have failed. Why? Because she's signed to The Inc. They are a TERRIBLE label. Not to derail the thread, but Vanessa Carlton is on there and Irv came on talking about promising V will have all this promotion, she'll be touring everywhere, etc and The Inc didn't do $h!t for her. They're c**p.
September 12, 200816 yr I agree Martin, they are utterly useless, but who else will sign her? She's had a fabulous lead single with heaps of airplay which next-to-nobody bought, and an album whose production costs won't have been covered by the meagre sales. It's a right shame. :( Also yes, Natashafan will be a familiar with a scorching poker very shortly.
