January 20, 200817 yr Run would be rather relevant with the Sport Relief mile and all :kink: oh please please let it be Run
January 21, 200817 yr Im not sure about this, i just think the management are being too desperate with her. The first single did well off the show, the second off 'the wait is finally over' hype and the third will be off Sports Relief. I just dont know where she's going to go/what she's going to do after. Well if this gets to #1 she will be on par with the 3 "desperate" #1s that Girls Aloud have; one was achieved from the back of a reality TV show and the other 2 were charity singles. I'm just using your logic, I don't necessarily agree with it. I suppose they weren't released consecutively but the idea is the same, they have only got to #1 when it was a Charity single or the first song after a reality show. A single being for charity does not make it automatically #1 and neither does hype. Just look how "Headlines" went, it was the Spice Girls singing as a five piece for the first time in...10 years? and it was also for one of the most publicised charities and that stalled at #11. If the public think the song is poor then they wont buy it and it wont get the #1 that goes for Girls Aloud and Leona. If "I'll Stand By You" and "Bleeding Love" were rubbish they wouldn't have got to #1 even though they were for charity or hyped up. I think this song will probably reach #1 if it's 'Whatever It Takes', 'Run' or 'Take A Bow' but I think the single after will probably be #2 or #3.

I actually just think Bleeding Love is a really good song. It's got nothing to do with hype and I don't believe it's ''rubbish'', look at how other comebacks which were just as hyped have fared :P

Spice Girls are a great example: hype + charity + poor song = flop. Edited January 21, 200817 yr by Ethereal

January 22, 200817 yr Tbh I don't really care if it even misses the top 40 (okay maybe I would be a little :o ) because her album's already sold way more than I expected it too originally and that's all that matters really, singles mean very little. I do agree with your post though Adi_Gallia. ^_^
January 26, 200817 yr Author Still no official news on what the single will be yet? :( Nope. :( They takes ages to make a decision it seems!

January 27, 200817 yr She might premier the new single at the Brit Awards performance :cheer: Nah apparently they're not allowed to promote new singles at The Brits, so it looks like we'll have to wait... :(
