OT but I mentioned Marti up above. Marti is going to star in the upcoming UK tour of Witches of Eastwick. Jack Nicholson was good in the film. If darius looked a bit older, IMO he could play that role.

I wonder if Tony can get this one right. I may just be tempted to go and see it. His candour was great and then his actions on stage really made me laugh. I have a lot of time for Tony. He seems to have matured in a good man.

from WOS - Finally, EastEnders actor and Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Matt Di Angelo will take over from Duncan James as Billy Flynn in Kander and Ebb musical Chicago at the Cambridge Theatre. He takes over from 11 February in the production, which is currently booking until 26 July 2008.

 

 

I didnt know he could sing !! What seems daft is he will be playing opposite bonnie langford accoding to WOS. He is 20 she is 43.

Darius is no longer the youngest then. 25 seemed very young for the role, it'd be interesting to see if 20 could be made to work.

I do wonder if they are paving the way for Alesha Dixon who won strictly come dancing to take over Roxie as I believe bonnie finishes her run shortly but Alesha is promoting her album in the far east at the moment but there have been rumours that she had been approached.

I'll not have an opinion on whether this is good or bad, for a while. I don't really know what she can do. She's OK with singing and dancing, I just don't know about the acting - but then, I didn't with Darius when he started.

Matt Di Angelo has a real baby face. Maybe they'll give him a moustache or goatee to make him look older. duncan had some face fuzz didn't he?

He did. He still seemed like an exhubriant boy though. I really expected to like his version more. Maybe I'll like the next thing he does more.
