In case anyone hasnt noticed i've changed the forum banner to the entry that came 2nd in the banner competition last year. I decided the new year felt like a good time for a new look and it keeps things fresh

 

Also i'm going to try and get some more videos added onto YouTube linking this forum, and i'll be looking to post a high quality version of 'Englishman In New York' if possible

Just found this today, it's Razorlight's Virgin Radio Page. It's excellent, well worth checking out. They've got a bio page, fan forum, blogs, music videos and plenty of other things for razorlight fans to savour.

 

I've posted a topic there asking for anyone who's interested to take a look at our forum (fingers crossed), and i've added the link to the page in the RazorLibrary

I've moved the stupid bloody Rumpo Kid's thread elsewhere and edited/deleted some of his posts and merged both threads into one. If i'd been back a few months sooner i'd have upped the little shite's warning level for spamming

 

In future if one of these threads are made can we please just close it and ignore it? If i'm not around let me know if one's been made and I can move the posts into the original thread. It's all fine and well him coming in here and making nonsense threads like that but i'd rather not have spam topics in my forum. Thanks

 

Oh, and im pinning this thread since we have some extra space thanks to the Razorlibrary. I think its important to let people know what's being updated and any changes that are happening ^_^

In terms of actual news, i've sort of updated the Fashion Rocks thread, added some new vids to the Covers thread and posted a couple of shortlists in the NME Nominations thread

I did add us in the first month we went online, and we were there right up until I went offline in October if i remember rightly. Some bast*rd removed us since then but its good to be back in the list. I cant see any reason why we shouldnt be tbh, we're just as relevant as any of the other links

The only reason the may off removed us is because they thought we were justtrying to advertise the forum, and that it was just a spam post, which isn't true. They may of removed it because you did it as a guest(?) last time? And we're one of the beter Razorlight Forums on he site, i've seen some of the other ones and they arn't very good tbh. :P

There's been a bit of a slump in posting recently, and our AF League tables positions have reflected this. Just wanting to ask, where is everyone? :(

 

Now I know I haven't exactly been on here as much as I could have been, and there isn't an awful lot of news around atm to be fair, but there are more than enough threads available to discuss and post in. Or if you have something to add that doesn't already have a discussion topic feel free to add one

 

I may be the moderator but me posting on my own week in/week out isn't gonna lift the forum, I need help and input from the other members who post here regularly (or did)

 

A few posts a day from a few people would be better than what we're currently getting, remember: this isn't called a discussion forum for nothing. ;)

Good news regarding YouTube videos. Logged in tonight and the two videos i've uploaded have amassed 3,500 views between them which is excellent. I also have one subscriber, so hopefully that should be getting this forum a decent amount of views

Looking for some new thread ideas etc this week since as we seem to be a bit thin on news (it isn't just us being lazy, the official forum is struggling atm - honest :lol: ), any suggestions etc much appreciated as usual ^_^

Just to let everyone know, im experiencing some problems with my internet. I can't get it at all on my laptop, and I keep getting cut off on my PC (which is what im using atm). I've contacted Virgin and they confirmed its a problem with the set top box. Theyre sending a new one out to us on Tuesday, so thats likely when i'll be next online after today

The new mod/deputy system is now in place (cheers, Phil) and as expected, Fletch is going to be the deputy. Having the one deputy should be enough as this forum isn't really busy enough to warrant 3 people modding it, and me and fletch are online most of the time anyway

 

On another note, there hasn't been much in the way of updates in here lately but i'll sort that out over the next week or so with fresher news articles and other things to give the place a much-needed update

Just a quick note:

ANY spam or posts I deem unsuitable will be removed or deleted, and if these posts continue to be posted the person doing it will be given a warning. I've given them out before so i'm not frightened of doing so again. If you haven't seen them already or "forgotten" them, the rules can be found here, nice and clearly for everyone to see with no big words so it's nice and easy to understand :)

 

Also, I doubt anyone will, but if there are such posts knocking about and i'm not around to move or delete them, please just ignore them. Responding to them just gives them more call to be posted again

I'd like to welcome Damon to the Razorlight forum in his new role as Deputy mod ^_^

 

I'd also like to thank Fletch for everything he's done for the forum over the past almost-year, and hope he'll stick around

 

Wasn't an easy decision to remove Fletch, and thankfully Damon agreed to be his replacement after much talking :lol:

 

Anyways, I feel this is a positive move for the forum and hopefully a change of mod will freshen the place up and propell us back up the AF table ^_^

Quick update, not much to report really. You'll all have noticed that there have been an influx of updates, plenty of discussion topics made/bumped up etc, and the forum seems to be doing really well. Mid 30 for a forum that didn't see any new posts at one stage if I remember rightly is excellent, and show that maybes with a bit more activity we could easily be challenging for the top 20

 

Damon's done a great job so far, I need to knuckle down a bit and get some things sorted in here though. Especially since news surrounding the new album as well as tours and gigs will be coming in thick and fast over the coming weeks/months
