This is Angie for Trevs, this week, I was asked by him to do the thread, help! hope I get it right. its just a case of copying an email. Saturday charts, from mrib and msn. Thanks to Dave Taylor (davericktaylor@yahoo.co.uk) as usual.

This week we have teamed up with the charts, from 1983, with the connection, that MADNESS were also, in the top 20, back then. Will they make it today though? That`s the question!!

The album chart, mrib, no longer count albums that are sold as part, of a sale/budget. Hence the difference in last weeks chart. This week, we were lucky, and Dave, actually managed to put the missing albums, back in. Good for him

So, here we go

w/k ending 25/01

01 SCOUTING FOR GIRLS - SCOUTING FOR GIRLS

12 BACK TO BLACK - AMY WINEHOUSE

13 DO YOU LIKE ROCK MUSIC - BRITISH SEA POWER

14 TRICK TO LIFE - HOOSIERS

15 GOOD GIRL GONE BAD - RIHANNA

That gives a better picture, but of course slightly different on the official chart, due to the fact that mrib, do not include downloaded albums, in the album chart. I did also note that the MACCABEES, also slid into their top 30, at 27. Don`t think that will get a top 30 place, on the official chart. Without the sales/budget albums, RADIOHEAD reign supreme at the top. Albums in sales ay? could be a thread on its own

Electric Avenue had Walking in Sunshine on the b side written by Eddy Grant and recorded in 82 by Rockers Revenge. Fleetwood Mac had their first top 10 hit in 3 years, previous was Tusk in 79. Culture Club at 16, were also at 16 with their album in the LP chart. The big film was ET and Phil Collins went retro. Can`t see the Melba Moore song on any site, i found all the others

Think i missed the physical chart somewhere in the email, dont know if there is a download one too. back to the email. hope i did ok.

This weeks physical singles chart has Basshunter at 1, Britney at 2, Lupe at 3, Soulja Boy at 4, Leon at 5. The rest of the top 10 with Robyn, Courteeners, Take That, Leona, Madness.

Yeah this is what i found interesting. its a list of physical best sellers from the whole of last year 2007

What a difference to the download and physical sales chart it is. Does that mean that About you now, Way I are, Ruby, How to Save a life shifted more on downloads alone to be higher in the radio one biggest sellers of last year, Mikey or anyone?

Gonna add the 3 download chart i nabbed from smash hits tv
