Posted January 19, 200817 yr Bad idea of the week (From the Mirror.co.uk) "Simon Fuller suggested sending it to Sophie Ellis Bextor and she turned it down" - Rob Davis, the writer of Kylie's mega-hit Can't Get You Out of My Head (Pop! What Is It Good For?)
January 19, 200817 yr Yeah I read this  She could've carried this off, but I'm glad Kylie got it instead tbh. I don't think Sophie had the fanbase to make it a million seller either.
January 20, 200817 yr This story has been going around since the dawn of time. She has denied this on several occasions.
January 24, 200817 yr Yeah, apparently it's not true. I did read somewhere that Get Over You was offered to Kylie first and she turned it down and then it was offered to Sophie but she also turned it down. Then Sophie done some rewriting of the lyrics and recorded it. She rewrote it because she thought it was too similar to her older singles, I'd like to know what it sounded like before then because it's pretty much the same as Take Me Home and Murder on the Dancefloor - not that that's a bad thing.
