I know some of their songs like S!NNN do take risks but everything on Tangled Up has a similar sound; there's not even one traditional ballad. Id say SNNN, SKO, Biology are all risky and unique ... something we have already established.

Ok, well you suggest that to the management but the point of releasing music is basically get it heard by as many people as poss and to be successful as poss and thats whats happening with GA so they're not gonna want to change that any time soon.

Right ok, i think i now know that you were hinting at Slick. I deleted the post asking why you kept on posting laughing smilies as to not fuel an argument or retaliate to you.

 

 

Basically i can totally understand peoples opinions, if people think GA should work with new producers then they can think that. All i know is that they obviously havent done that because all of their singles have done consistanly well in the chart positions they've taken.

When Sugababes are good... they're really good but they release a lot of rubbish, bland singles too. I've consistently loved all of GA's singles.

I'd agree that they are unique, but risky? I don't agree so much, SKO and Biology still sound like typical cheesy/camp songs that Girls Aloud have always churned out. Having a chorus begin late into a song is unique, but I don't see it as a risk. SNNN is kind of risky in that it has that robotic voice transformer, it's not their usual sound, but it's not exactly new to modify the sound of someones voice like that in a song.

 

Before you attack me, the three songs you mentioned are probably my favourite GA songs. I listen to them quite a bit, even though I don't come across as much of a fan. It's just my general dislike of them as people that puts me off them and while they have some good songs, nothing by them stands out as brilliant or one of the recent all time greats.

 

Then again the only Sugababes song that could be an all time great is 'About You Now' because it was so catchy and successful last year. I like the Sugababes now more than ever, I'm not a huge fan of things like 'Freak Like Me', 'Round Round' and 'Hole In The Head' I like 'About You Now', 'Push The Button' (ok that's not so recent) and 'Change' so much more.

Oh dear, It amazes me how fans get so involved, I am a huge GA fan but I also believe the Sugas are brillaint, shouldnt we all just be happy that we have two amazing pop groups in the UK! Theres always going to be one group that has the better song, but that changed with every release! I think we should all just be happy we have two girl groups that push the boundaries of pop with every album they release!

Bloody hell! I just read through about 5 pages of this rubbish, how many times can a few people say "they need to work with new producers"?

 

The fact is, they dont want to work with new producers and neither do their fans so they arent gona change just because another bands fans think their band sounds better coz they worked with different producers. If GA did what other people wanted, they'd be dancing around in slutty outfits with a nice dark gentlemen to the front of them, undermining them as women making them sing about degrading things (yes i do mean pussycat dolls).

 

This really annoys me because maybe some of you think all GA's music sounds the same but maybe some of us find it very different and maybe they are producing the music for us and don't give a c**p what anyone else thinks?

 

Some people just don't get GA atall and they are really missing out. Thats why for me, GA will always be THE girl band.
