February 14, 200817 yr I agree CSF is easily their less amazing single  (only talking about the original songs). And I am not ashamed to tell :p S!NNN is their most experimetal single ever (and I do really believe it). It was such a risk to release it as the first single... So was Biology. It's pop at its most experimental boundaries... unfortunately it's not their biggest hits :( For the too classy too soon, it's their 5th album and their 5th year on the music scene, so I don't think we can say it's bad for the girls to release a classy song and video as their 17th single, it's about time  And I dont complain for them always working with Xenominia, because in the end, their material doesnt sound samey and always the same, they're still very innovative and for a lot of people (not me though), this album is their best, so it's still going the good way. :) I agree about the Denial video being great for the fans obviously, that's the kind of video I could watch on repeat if I was a fan of them :)
February 14, 200817 yr Sugababes! I like most of their songs and I like them better as a group and individually.
February 14, 200817 yr Oddly enough I feel roughly the same about GA as you do for Sugababes! They were experimental with great pop songs like The Show. They still experiment but it's like they've tried to be too classy too soon. Call The Shots got overrated when there's better on the album, and they're about to release their worst single in bloody years. But I still really like them - I'd never have picked up a GA album before 2007, and now I own Tangled Up and think it's great. I just think they should take more risks again which basically means working with someone other than Xenomania. That they have employed the same people to produce every single song of theirs since about four years ago is totally ridiculous! :o Call The Shots is the best on the album with Girl Overboard  and Can't Speak French is alright ^_^, can't get worser than SNNN imo :(
February 14, 200817 yr That they have employed the same people to produce every single song of theirs since about four years ago is totally ridiculous! No its not. Its given them a totally unbroken run of top 10 singles!
February 14, 200817 yr For me, I find Girls Aloud extremely boring and repetitive. Songs like Sound Of The Underground, to Jump, to the Show, to their latest material, it's all the same. Their style, their vocal abilities, their "songwriting", their producers, it's all same old same old. Hence to probally why their albums don't sell, as one thing that does change are the videos = good single sales.
February 14, 200817 yr :o Call The Shots is the best on the album with Girl Overboard  and Can't Speak French is alright ^_^, can't get worser than SNNN imo :( I think 'Call The Shots' is definitely one of the worst on the album. In fact, all 3 singles for me rank among the very worst of the album. The singles choices for Tangled Up have been quite ludicrous, especially when they have stuff like 'Control Of The Knife', 'Close To Love', 'Girl Overboard' and even 'Fling' which are crying out for a release. <_< 'Can't Speak French' is actually about the most stupid choice of single I have ever seen.
February 14, 200817 yr For me, I find Girls Aloud extremely boring and repetitive. Songs like Sound Of The Underground, to Jump, to the Show, to their latest material, it's all the same. That has to be THE funniest thing i have ever read on here!
February 14, 200817 yr That has to be THE funniest thing i have ever read on here! Not really. Ask anyone round here and they'll most probably agree..
February 14, 200817 yr Ask anyone round here and they'll most probably agree.. LOL, i highly doubt that!
February 14, 200817 yr LOL, i highly doubt that! I totally agree with what Josh said. It's just an opinion so don't take it to heart. ;)
February 14, 200817 yr How does Sound Of The Underground sound like The Show? Or how does "Call The Shots" sound like "No good advice", "Biology" like "Whole lotta history", "Jump" like "Can't speak French", "Life got cold" like "Sexy No no no" and so on?? ^_^
February 14, 200817 yr On the contrary, I love them more now. Obviously though that's because 5 years ago I wasn't buying albums and going to tours, lol. But they put out the best pop song of 2007 for me, they released an amazingly solid album - their most solid yet, if also their most commercial - and they just look so good. As for the videos, how could you not love the Denial video? It's everything a fan could want - a thousand costume changes, brilliant effects, some really chic things going on in those 3 minutes. It's fabulous. Plus the band as a whole has much more personality now than it ever did with Mutya. ! why fix what isn't broken as I like to say :D and I have to say I agree about Change being their most commercial album. It's certainly been my most spinned Sugababes album already. I never really got into Three much, TIMW was nearly there for me, but a few songs didn't really click with me, whereas I can't really grumble with any track on Change. My Love Is Pink

Girls Aloud have NEVER re-invented themselves. Not once have I heard a Girls Aloud song and went to myself, "Oh, that sounds different".

All their singles are different  You just need to compare SKO and CTS to see that they release different styles. Take CSF and SNNN, how are they similar? As for Sugababes, I think 'Change' is one of their best albums so far, ^_^ love it  but I haven't been happy with the single choices for this album at all! They should of released- NGDA, MLIP and Denial/Mended By You. I think 'Change' was a waste :( Edited February 14, 200817 yr by Johnny
February 14, 200817 yr I totally agree with what Josh said. It's just an opinion so don't take it to heart.I didnt take it to heart, i just laughed at how stupid the comment was. It's all the same Pop format though. Girls Aloud have NEVER re-invented themselves. Not once have I heard a Girls Aloud song and went to myself, "Oh, that sounds different".They're a POP band, pop bands often follow a POP format! And the same format? - 'Biology' takes 2 minutes to reach the chorus. A vo-coder is used to intoduce 'Sexy! No No No' and a chorus lead up from solo voice to 5 vocals is featured in 'Whole Lotta History'. I really cannot see where your going with this Josh, it seems like your point really cant be backed up. Thats why i find your comments so humerous - Girls Aloud are without doubt one of the most innovative pop bands of the 21st century ... fact.

They're not really a band either, I've never seen them write their own songs or play instruments. Yes, they're a POP band, and so are the Sugababes, but take 'Hole In The Head' and then 'Denial', two completley different genre's but still follow the pop route. It's diversity that Girls Aloud lack.

Come back once you've listened to and watched Girls Aloud's back catalogue and have realised that their look, sound and genre changes with almost every single. Oh and a band are a musical ensemble ; a group of two or more musicians who perform instrumental or vocal music. So they are a pop band with co-writing credits on many tracks.
