Well, in my opinion, they did. Starting with rip-roaring first single "Brianstorm", the Arctics started with an amazing song, and showed how the album would continue. Tracks like "Teddy Picker" and "Balaclava" showed the rocky side of the album, while tracks like "505" and "Only Ones Who Know" showed that the Arctics could do slow numbers as well. Undoubtedly one of the stand out tracks on the album is second single "Fluorescent Adolescent", which is an easy sing-along track and arguably one of the best and most diverse tracks they've done. Over tracks such as "Do Me A Favor" and "Old Yellow Bricks" make the album an thoroughly enjoyable listen. Sadly the album is let down a bit with tracks such as "This House Is Circus", which sadly lets down compared to other tracks. But, despte this, the album still manages to beat the "second album phase", and does not let down.
