Posted January 20, 200817 yr Exclusive Scots Rockers Fly To Elvis Girl's La Home ONE of Scotland's hottest new bands are jetting out to LA to record with Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis' daughter has already secretly visited Scotland to meet Glasvegas after falling in love with their single Daddy's Gone. LisaMarie, 30, and her mum Priscilla met the Scots rockers in an Edinburgh pub. Glasvegas singer James Allan said: "Lisa Marie said she and her mum Priscilla had listened to Daddy's Gone eight times in a row. "She said the lyrics really touched her when she phoned from America to say how much she liked the song." The rockers are championed by Scots pop mogul Alan McGee and their self-financed CD was voted one of the top singles of 2006 by rock mag NME. James wrote the poignant track about his parents' split. Glasvegas met Lisa Marie and Priscilla when they visited Edinburgh last month while in Britain for the Led Zeppelin reunion. Lisa Marie was with her fourth husband Michael Lockwood. James said: "We met Lisa Marie in an Edinburgh pub... she'd never been to Scotland before. Nobody recognised her, even though she looks like Elvis. "She'd met Alan McGee in LA and told him how much she loved us. She's got a recording studio at home and she's invited us to record a few tracks with her the next time we tour America." Glasvegas - James, guitarist Rab Allan, bass player Paul Donoghue and drummer Caroline Mackay - are to star in the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour. They play Glasgow Barrowland on February 21. Their new single - It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry - is set to be released on Valentine's Day. SUNDAY MAIL - Jan 20 2008 By Billy Sloan Daddy’s Gone 3uSdQxKaBfU Wow!
