Posted January 21, 200817 yr Mary J. Blige is hoping troubled British singer Amy Winehouse will get over her drug addiction because she feels the future of music depends on her. Blige believes music is going through a transformation and it needs artists like Winehouse, reports say. She said, "Someone like Amy Winehouse is so important to the music business right now. It's very painful to see her battle drugs. I hope she makes it. I think it (the music industry) kind of got lost and we ended up in a drought for a while, but I see it making a turn, so instead of music being just synthetic, we'll see it going back to actual instruments. That's what I'm hoping for anyway, because that's the kind of music I'm making." NDTV
January 22, 200817 yr I agree music should not be so manipulated by producers, it should be about the naturally talented like Mary said. ;) But I think the progression could be happening, there's not many novelty songs around these days and they all flop anyway so that's a step forward.
