Their last single, Sorry, was a No.23 hit in March last year while their last visit to the top ten was 1999’s Lovestruck. This is not to pick holes in this commentry but does anyone agree that viewed as a Ska-pop band Madness are not playing to their strengths (Sorry and Shame & Scandal were c**p beyond belief - and less said about that clip of Lola - better off sticking to 007 by Desmond Dekker, Double Barrel by Dave and Ansell Collins and I'm In The Mood For Ska by Lord Tamamo) and a good excuse for bringing back Night Fever and its pop monkey!!! :cheer: (tho as a slice of reggae-cheese Suggs and Cecilia could be rated as one of the all time pop greats alongside Peter Andre, Chaka Demus and Shaggy  ) arent they better seen in context as a proto-Britpop band (or infact to use the hyphenated version of the word just known as a 'Brit-pop' band with out that mid-90s british alternative context) than just always referring them as being wholly a ska-pop thing - more in a linage that includes The Kinks, Ian Dury, Blur, Supergrass, The Lightning Seeds etc etc (see videos below) rather than putting them in a linage that might include awful late 90s American ska-vomit from No Doubt, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and other usual teen movie suspects of that period??? :puke2: :puke2: - and something more British, seeped in Londinium, more reflective of the Dublin Castle than some Shanty Town in Kingston???. because NW5 is more towards that brit-pop tradition than ska it is a much better improvemt over sorry - and good that the band are going back to the wonders of Lovestruck (one of the best singles of 1999 along with the new radicals - You Get What You Give) rbPfzZlMx8o Lightning Seeds - Sense 2YSnubQZLeU Lightning Seeds - Lucky You 3bFGfIAJRvo

February 3, 200817 yr Author I Loved Lovestruck! I Just Love The Way He Sings With Such Satisfaction: 'Lovestruck, I'm Falling For A Lamppost'. Yeah and its not one of those songs that you can just listen to a few seconds and you know you can turn it over as you've got feeling of the rest of the tune in those few moments - you gotta listen out for the greatest bit where yeah he gets more serious in tone - brilliant!!! Look, what have I become? Distancing myself so far and from But gazing out I waved the night boat on, For now it's heaven in deepest Tottenham. Oh, what have I done to deserve this fate? It's all going wrong Even the cab fare has been and gone And now I'm lagging in deepest Tottenham. But come the morning, shivering and contorting, To border on the brink for just another sink - oh take me down, For one more round. Drip Fed Fred with Ian Dury is cool too!!! "We want freddie for our leeeeadah!!!"
