American pop singer Pink to arrive in Israel as part of annual soccer tournament organized by Chelsea Football Club owner, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.

 

Get the party started. Pop singer Pink is set to arrive in Israel this weekend and perform at a private, by invitation only party to be held at the Hangar 11 club in the Tel Aviv harbor.

 

Pink’s performance will be part of an annual soccer tournament organized by Jewish-Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, the owner of the Chelsea Football Club currently coached by Israeli manager Avram Grant.

 

This will be the first visit to Israel for Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore. She is set to land in Israel on Saturday, perform in Tel-Aviv on Sunday (1.27), and leave the country the following day.

 

The singer’s performance will be part of an annual soccer tournament, sponsored by Abramovich and by the Russian Television station “Channel One”, taking place from January 23 to January 31. The teams participating in the tournament this year are CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow, FC Dynamo Kyiv, FK Crvena zvezda (Red Star Belgrade), and FC Beitar Jerusalem.

 

During the tournament, the participating teams are set to receive cash prizes valued roughly at $2 million. The team that wins the tournament will receive $1 million, the runner up $500,000, and all other teams will receive between $100,000 to $150,000, depending on their placement.

 

Twenty-eight year old Pink released her fourth studio album, 'I'm Not Dead', which has been successful worldwide, in 2006.

 

She has since embarked on a world tour, released a Special Edition album and a live DVD, as well as starring in a horror movie.

Pink looked like she was back to her old fabulous self when Splash caught up with her in Israel yesterday

 

The singer appeared to be in a jolly mood after an evening out with friends at the Sushi Samba Restaurant in Tel-Aviv before ending the night at the Wiski A Gogo Club in the old port of Tel-Aviv.

"The show in Israel was great, and Pink really put her heart into it.

 

Unfortunately I felt like she sensed the audience wasn't that excited. The problem was it was a private party, and the audience didn't pay to see her, so the guests didn't seem to appreciate it that much. what a shame! Eventually it showed in her performance. For example, she allowed herself to cut "The One That Got Away" in the middle. At the last part of the song, she suddenly said she doesn't want to finish it, and she told shocked Justin to stop playing. Another example, after singing "U & UR Hand", right before she sang "Get This Party Started", she said to the crowd "one more and we're outta here", as if she was looking forward to leave.

 

After the show, when I went outside of the club, I saw her band preparing to leave. I attended Justin, who was really nice to me and immediately shook my hand. I asked him to tell Alicia (as I thought Justin wouldn't be refering to her as Pink) she should come and perform again. He told me they would like to, cause they had such a great time partying and hanging out in Israel. I shared with him my feeling, that towards the end of the show she seemed to get tired of it, and he answered that "the audience was good, but it wasn't like ahhhh" (and then he showed me a fist to explain that the audience simply wasn't that energetic and ecstatic). I agreed with him, and he added that it was because it was a "corporate" show. Then we shook hands again and said goodbye.

 

Gush, I really hope she did have enough fun in Israel to come back again.

 

Between - at "Don't Let me Get Me", when she sang "Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears", she didn't sing the next 2 lines ("she's so Pretty", etc.), and instead just said in disgust "what do you say?". I guess she does that a lot, but still it was funny. You really can't say Britney is pretty these days... LOL."

The reporter wrote that Pink performs really good, that she's allways moving and jumping and dancing and that she is really funny, he just doesn't like her music. Oh, and he said also that for a small show that wasn't for her fans she really put her heart on stage."
