Amy Winehouse's dad has demanded that she move into his home in a bid to help her beat her addiction to drugs.

 

Mitch Winehouse is said to be terrified that the singer will end up dead following the release of a video which appeared to show her smoking crack cocaine.

 

A friend told the Daily Mail: "As any father would be, Mitch is terribly concerned. She has been making good progress up until this setback but for Mitch it's the last straw - if she doesn't sort herself out and get her head straight, who knows where it will end?

 

"Mitch is terrified about the people she associates with and thinks that by taking these low-lifes out of the equation, Amy will face less temptation. He's asked her to come and live with him until she's back on the straight and narrow - or ideally, until Blake comes out of custody."

 

The source added: "If Mitch is by her side almost 24/7 he can monitor exactly who she hangs out with and where she does it."

 

The former taxi driver is also thought to have asked one of Amy's friends to stay with her 24 hours a day after she refused to check back in to rehab.

 

Two security guards are reported to be standing outside her East London flat.
