This looks excellent. The legend that is Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star as two men dying of cancer who make a list of what they want to do before they die. From the clips I've seen, there is the typical Nicholson humour, and I am sure Freeman puts on a great performance like always. Judging by the script, it could've turned out to be really cheesey, but it is bound to be enjoyable for Nicholson's performance alone. Apperently it is the only film ever to top the US Box Office, where the two leading characters are over 70. Many critics are saying it's the first decent film Rob Reiner has made in over a decade, and it has been named one of the best films of 07 by the National Board of Review and has a rating of 7.9 on imdb, so it looks promising. Here is the trailer.

from the trailer i saw on TV, it looks like a waste of time and film. And still judging by the trailer, i think Morgan Freeman has made a massive mistake.

Saw this tonight, and it was excellent and highly entertaining and enjoyable. If ever there was a film where you should'nt go by what the critics say, this is it. It got alot of average reviews in the papers over the weekend, which really does show what complete snobs alot of these critics can be, because the majority of the public seem to have loved it. It getting the second most popular screen test in Warner Bro. History, and getting 7.9 on imdb is proof of that. I can't remember the last time I was at a film where everyone on the way out of the theatre were all commenting on how great it was and laughing so much throughout a film. No, this certainly is no classic, and is'nt one of the best films either Nicholson or Freeman have made by a long way, but it is a very enjoyable, well written comedy/drama, with excellent performances from two of the greatest actors ever. If the two lead actors had've been average actors, then this film would've been nothing special, but Jack and Morgan worked really well together and made it so enjoyable. Jack in particular is his usual hilarous self. I don't think there has ever been an actor with so much charisma as he has, and who had the ability to make an audience laugh by just speaking or making a facial expression that was'nt even intended to be funny. The man is just such a legend.

Overall I'd give it 8/10. It was nothing amazing or memerable, but it was very enjoyable and quite poignant.

Bte, does anyone know what Jack Nicholson's next film is? I have checked imdb and there is no info regarding anything which is quite odd. I had heard rumours of a sequal to the two jakes/Chinatown, but I am not sure if that is next. He really should get a move on, he has made so few films since 2000. -_-
