He's not dead. :P There was an internet rumour going around that Chad Michael Murray was gonna replace Jensen Ackles as one of the lead male characters though. But it's confirmed Dean will be saved from hell, but he'll come back with a whole new personality apparently...

Yeah it was obvious the start of the next season will focus on Sam rescuing Dean, which should be pretty interesting. Chad Michael Murray  God it would be aweful if he made it onto the show. As for the new personality I suppose he'll come back evil(ish).

Any idea when season 4 starts Roo?

Good news for Supernatural! :D The creator has signed a deal for a 5th season too, so that means there should be 5 series overall, then apparently they're going to do a movie to finish Supernatural off, and then have the possibility of spin-off series! Sounds good. ^_^

"Supernatural" exec producer Eric Kripke is scaring up an overall deal at Warner Bros. TV.

Under terms of the two-year exclusive pact, Kripke will continue to exec produce and showrun CW's Thursday staple "Supernatural," which enters its fourth season this fall.

Kripke also will start to develop projects under the deal. There's no word if one of the new titles might be a "Supernatural" spinoff; Kripke has said in the past that he's interested in doing a prequel of sorts that takes place in the Old West and centered on the show's mythology.

Kripke's at work crafting the show's fourth season, following up on the season three cliffhanger that sent Dean (Jensen Ackles) to hell.

Beyond creating "Supernatural," Kripke's credits include adapting "Tarzan" for the WB, as well as the feature "The Boogeyman."

Before making a splash in TV, Kripke was known for his short films, which included Sundance entry "Battle of the Sexes," as well as "Truly Committed," which won the audience award at Slamdance

Excellent news about a 5th season...And interesting article about a possible spin off :o

I think a spin-off is likely to happen, I think The CW value Eric Kripe as a valued person on-board their network. The only problem is there are rumours that The CW (which is the TV channel, Supernatural is broadcast on) could be taken off the air! Although I doubt this is the case. I still think a movie will be made to wrap the show off too... which would launch the careers of Jensen and Jared even moreso.

Depends what type of movie it was though, as it might just be a TV movie or straight to DVD release movie. Still I think it'd be a great way to end the show, instead of a two parter episode at the end of season 5.

It'd definitely be a movie that'd be released at the cinema! You'll start to see it a lot more in the coming years imo. The success of The Sex & The City movie, will mean more and more TV shows will be given films. 24 are gonna do it to end the show off, Friends are could maybe be doing one etc.

Ah really that's cool. I just thought it might be a straight to dvd release movie cause Stargate have released two successful dvd movies this year so I figured it might be a new trend. But I completely forgot about Sex & The City. I so need to get up to date with what's happening on TV.

Supernatural on the big screen, that'd be awesome :w00t:
