February 12, 200817 yr Thats beside the point though, most r&b album filler tracks from 2005/2006 sounded like this before the Synth-Pop sound arrived. Im a big Mariah fan and was expecting her to come back with an amazing single, if this is the lead single id rather give the album a miss. The last album was amazing though so im hoping this single will be cancelled. After 4 radioplays you want the single cancelled Conor?
February 12, 200817 yr i like it, but don't think its the right lead single to get another 6times platinum album... but its way better than no one for example, alicias lead single.
February 13, 200817 yr Although every reviewer has said E=MC² beats Discipline into the ground, so I shall reserve complete judgement until I have heard both albums. Same. I'm just so excited for both. I really love Touch My Body already, but like you said, it doesn't quite compare with Feedback and it most certainly doesn't touch Rock With U, which should but sadly won't be one of Janet's biggest hits. Thankfully for Mariah, her project is guaranteed to be way more successful.
February 13, 200817 yr After 4 radioplays you want the single cancelled Conor? Lol i think it would be a bad move for her to release this, most people nowadays expect to be wowed by songs on first listen really whilst this takes more like 10 listens. Its not bad after a lot of listens, it should to fairly well anyway. I just hope the albums good lol
February 13, 200817 yr This sounds really dated, like it was produced mid 90s. It's not too bad and for some reason I can see it being a hit, even though it's completely underwhelming. She does way too many ad libs at the end though..really grates.
February 13, 200817 yr Listening to it again, it is very mid-tempo and nothing special. It's nice enough but I'm with Kelly, a club banger would've been good.
February 13, 200817 yr I've read 5 or 6 reviews now and they all say that the single is amazing and will almost certainly be her 18th #1 and a huge smash worldwide. Everytime I listen to it I keep thinking "what am I missing?" and I still can't figure it out.
February 13, 200817 yr I do think it get's better with every listen. I like it now ^_^ but I wouldn't call it amazing! But yeah, I think it's definetly a grower. ;)
February 13, 200817 yr Yeah the chorus is stuck in my head, plus I adore the adlibbing at the end. Consider me a fan. Bring on the video! :D
February 13, 200817 yr on second thoughts, it's a nice album filler. i don't think it's lead single material. we'll see though. it's nice.
February 13, 200817 yr Nah i'll agree it's nowhere near lead single material, but it'll do I suppose. The video looks to be pretty good from the odd pictures i've seen from it. Mariah looking very "Irreplaceable"...
February 13, 200817 yr it could be like "it's like that" and get top 20, then have her release the real monster hit second again. it'll be interesting to see how this era pans out and how they market her.
February 13, 200817 yr It will do great on radio and be a big hit in the US, definetly Top 3. Will also go Top 10 here, maybe Top 5 ;) But, she will have to get the 2nd single out quite quickly after I think.
February 13, 200817 yr I keep listening again and again  and I think it's just one of them songs that are very simple yet catchy. No OTT with it, just nice and simple but sticks in your head ^_^ Im starting to like a lot :drama: Edited February 13, 200817 yr by Johnny
February 13, 200817 yr They will market her as the biggest diva in the world and rely heavily on the success she had with Mimi I would imagine. I can see it doing quite well in the US provided radio gets behind her (which they already are, in DROVES) so yeah I would be happy with Top20, but for that monster ballad I want a #1. If she gets 1 #1 from this album i'll be pleased. This really annoys me though because I think the US will like it but Europe and the UK are going to hate it which means that she's gonna have a poor start (album-wise) in terms of sales. Mimi charted at #7 and bombed down the charts until WBT started doing the rounds and it eventually re-peaked at #7 and went on to achieve double platinum status. However we all know that a song like WBT doesn't come around with every album and as much as everyone is relying on the ballad to make the album huge it doesn't always work like that (see Through The Rain for details) and that may not have as much impact to save the project outside of the US if TMB goes as I predict it will... Still at this point it's all just speculation. We can't make judgements on the album and how it will do before we've actually heard it. Either way I see a solid 2m AT LEAST in the US.
February 13, 200817 yr I just heard it... and I tried to listen to it from an objective viewpoint, but I think it's really awful. Actually even worse than I expected. :( Sorry. :P

February 13, 200817 yr Well i've heard this a good 4/5 times now and I didn't really have any expectations when I was listening to the track but after agood few listens I think it's alright actually. The first time I heard it, it left no impression on me at all but I like the beat to it very much and it's the same sort of vibe to it with kost of the R&B music I listen to. I quite like the verses but i'm not keen on the chorus. I don't think this is the right sort of track for a lead single though, like people have already said.
